I watched that about 5x this morning. I sorta doubt it was intentional. The swerve looks like it's at the same time as the contact and they say he was hit by the rear tire. Plus the guy's wearing mostly black and another car had just passed him. Plus-plus who's gonna be looking for a guy walking upstream almost in the middle of the track? Shrugs. I almost hate to say it, but what'd that fool think was gonna happen? Kids in every industrialized culture have been taught from the time they're two friggin years old: "Don't play in traffic!"
My thought process wants to know why every other car BEFORE tony stewart slowed down for the kid. When tony stewart came up on him he was at an idle and then you can clearly hear his car rev up. I dont think tony stewart meant to run him over though, I think he meant to roost the kid. Roost as in throw dirt at him to humiliate him. He ended up running him over and killing him. It was an accident but I believe it was tony stewarts fault.
I want to know what thought process told the kid it was a good idea to put himself in a life threatening situation by getting out on the track in the first place. The racing game needs to weed out the loose cannons....all of them especially Stewart.
If you're familiar with Denver, this happened ~18 months ago at the Boulder/36 exit from I-25. He was going 128 mph and the car was ~40 mph:
