The Camera

Earlier I mentioned that the camera uses batteries, or more correctly, it uses one 9-volt battery. You can also connect it to an AC outlet via a cable, which allows unlimited use, no more worrying about the battery going dead, and trust me these cameras eat up the battery quickly if used a lot. The cool thing about the AC adapter is that you don't have to worry about the cord coming loose, it attaches to the cameras base like a phone cord attaches to the back of a wall-mounted phone. One thing using the included AC adapter will guarantee is that you will rarely see a battery replacement as long as you continue to keep the camera plugged in.

The base also attaches to the included wall-mount bracket, which I chose not to use, though the screws and mounting hardware are all included. I tend to move the camera around too much to want to drill holes in the wall. I'll owe the leasing company plenty for the little CAT 5 cabling project I did earlier this year.

The camera snaps first into a small base that it sits on, and then into the mount, which holds it securely via two small "L" shaped clamps. Removing the camera is fairly simple, just press the two clips towards each other and it releases.
