Refurb iRobot Roomba 4210 w/ Virtual Wall for $117 Shipped Free |
posted by T3D Deals at 12:11 am on Jul 2, 2009
The price has really dropped on this! The Roomba is truly a great device for the lazy man. Or maybe you're not lazy. Maybe you're so busy, you don't have time to Swiffer your hardwood floors and you get dust bunnies everywhere. Whatever the case, this is a fantastic price for this unit. I happened to see this unit in action this a few weeks ago at a friend's place. It's truly awesome and it really does work as advertised. My friend absolutely loves his. Features built-in sensors to keep it from falling down stairs and two Virtual Walls to keep it away from off-limit areas. REFURBED IROBOT ROOMBA 4210 WITH VIRTUAL WALLS SALE

Vista Grievances |

posted by tweakmonkey at 12:26 pm on Jul 1, 2009
I've used Vista for a while now on a few PCs, and some of the little features they have omitted are just damned ridiculous.
Like SORT BY FILE TYPE. Did Microsoft really think that it was such a useless feature you had to access a sub-menu to turn this feature on? I thought it was one of the most fundamental/basic features of an operating system. I also like how by default you have to turn it on for every sub-folder. Bravo Microsoft.

I am thinking about starting a Computer repair business as a side job.
I have a free phone number through google which is awesome. I figured I could utilize this.
I should have made business cards or something. Would a website be a good idea? What do I have to do legally? If anything..

Windows 7 Won't Reboot/Shutdown |
|
posted by pudz at 12:34 am on Jun 30, 2009
Ok I've got windows 7 beta 7100 and I'm loving it.
My problem, my only problem, is if I shut down it says like logging out, then shutting down, then will freeze on the shutting down bit once thats done and I'll have to manually turn it off.
It's clearly doing something with the network, I'm on ADSL (which is shite!) and connecting wirelessly through a Linksys Wireless-B USB network adapter (v4.0 #2).
I tried unplugging the adapter and rebooting, problem solved. I just don't wana be unplugging it everytime I wana reboot and then having to re-enter the already 'saved' WEP key everytime.
I don't know a ton about networks, just how to set them up and a little about port fowarding which I do have setup as it helps my torrent dl spd when they throttle it.
If you need any additional info to see whats going on I'd be happy to supply it.
One last thing, I haven't registered this version obviously, but I'm not had it installed for 8 weeks and it doesn't remind me it's a trial anymore, is this just a one-off glitch or is it normal?
