ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE!

Not meaning to stir up shit, but this was pretty interesting from a friend of mine, who has an Android phone and an ipod touch.

Background: He's been my friend for about 15 years (Former Google employee, amazing programmer and super uber geek), we took programming and PC repair classes together in high school, and generally I take his word as gospel. So when he sent this I was pretty surprised. He rarely shows bias or says something's amazing.

Here's our conversation:

^ This last line is true, but I think his touch is the same speed as the 3G iphone, not the 3GS. Anyway, I didn't realize how much speed played into it. And apparently he prefers the Apple interface over his Android. SUCK ON THAT ANDROID BOYS. Just kidding, but I thought it was interesting from someone that owns both.

so some guy wanted me to reformat his computer.. the problem is after the setup copies the files, after you partition and format, normally the computer restarts then it shows the windows sign.. but instead it just keeps restarting the computer to the "configuring system hardware" then it just goes back to the formatting menu over and over.. any ideas?

i've tried a different hd, different cd drive.. its one of those old hp celerons.. could the mobo be limiting such things or something? really weird cause everything is detected as well

I've been using Firefox for years now, but for whatever reason it's starting to feel it's age. Maybe I'm just getting restless for something new or maybe it really is slowing down, but I'm thinking of switching it up and trying Chrome for a while.

So I just beat Dead Space and it was a lot of fun. I already beat MW2 single player and the multiplayer got a little boring, for right now. I still love it but too much of the same and I get a little bored.

I had Dead Rising in my collection from when I bought it used a while ago. I never got that far in. I tried playing it again last night and just couldn't get into it.

Anyone have any good 360 recommendations? Preferably 3rd person action...they're actually becoming my favorite kind.

NO D-Pad though

I just installed it as an upgrade over TB 2, and the process was as painless as I could have wished for. The "install to a different folder" advise was just for the betas, and can be happily ignored.

I like the new archiving feature the most. If I had more than one POP/IMAP account, the smartfolders would be nice too. For the rest, I'm just going to have to learn over time. I'm an old dog, and this client requires me to learn new tricks!

Excuse the shortness, I'm posting on phone away from comp.

I have a vm (server 200with 2 nics. NIC 1 is connected to and obtaining IP info from a 2nd vm which is the domain. The 2nd nic on the server 2008 system is set to share the host computer IP so I can have internet access. After toying around for a while, I was able to get internet access by bridging nic 1 and nic 2. It shows as having an internet connection but I can't ping or access any sites... I need halp! sorry if I'm missing details, just ask
