3D Mark 2000

While not a favorite benchmark by all, there's no denying that 3D Mark has made a name for itself in the community and has now become a staple for testing. 3D Mark 2000, while older; is a good indication of Direct3D performance.

Unfortunately, the GeForce 2 walks away from this battle unscathed, being the tar out of the Kyro II by 26%. While the Kyro II did indeed score low in the test, it does not feature a hardware T&L engine, and thus, will severely lag in T&L optimized games/programs such as 3D Mark.

Taking a look at the very hardware intensive 3D Mark 2001 puts an even bigger weight on the Kyro II, with the GeForce 2 having a massive 36% lead in the default benchmark. But just like 3D Mark 2000, this may be due to the lack of hardware T&L, and the fact that Madonion built 3D Mark around Nvidia technology.

Mercedes Benz Truck Racing

Mercedes Benz Truck Racing is a very visually pleasing and fun Direct3D game, which also features a benchmark mode that runs a demo and gives the average frames per second at the end.

Once again, the Kyro II loses to the GeForce 2, this time by 36% There's no denying these numbers, the Kyro II is not as fast as its been made out to be.
