Milk! Milk! My Kingdom for a bottle of Milk! Hashtag CovidCrazy. I mean really! How to they expect to stock up on a perishable item, for goodness sake! I just spent an hour driving around town, hitting up all the grocery, dairy, pharmacy, and convenience stores in the area. No luck. There's no toilet paper to be found either. I'm okay with that, since I have a heaping stack of newspapers as a workaround...
We can be thankful for our electronic ability to easily incite fear in the hearts and minds of men. I went to the store to do my weekly Sunday grocery shopping and it was insane.
The local Walmart here seems to have given up entirely on the TP front. The aisle that used to be filled with different brands of TP is now filled with crates of Coors. Evidently one is supposed to shake them up, position the can appropriately, then pop the tab for an ersatz bidet? The Paper Towel aisle is similarly filled with soft drinks. I fail to see the logic in this... Till then, I'll just clip all the people's faces out of the newspaper and... turn them all into brown-noses...
Damn, I get that it's Miller country but putting Coors in the TP aisle is some shade. (Also, they're MillerCoors now!)
Yes, all these people running around mindlessly... wait... could this be?! They've all turned into ZOMBIES!?!?!?! It's the Zombie Apocalypse, and we didn't even notice!! Edit: Now that I think of it, it is obvious! Naturally the Zombies will be buying up all the TP. After all, their goal is to WIPE OUT Humanity! *Goofus runs from angry mob with torches and pitchforks*
It is crazy panic by the people. I have taken advantage of the early one hour opening just for citizens over 60 to buy a three pack box of facial tissue and weekly shopping to keep the pantry stocked. Wife has respiratory issues so I am trying to keep her safe.Nuts how everybody panicked and paper products disappeared. Dean Koontz wrote about a viral epidemic coming from Wuhan China in his 1981 book " The Eyes Of Darkness ". Not exactly the same as Covid-19 , but interesting. Hope all of y'all are trying to be safe and keep your loved ones safe.
