I seem to have a fetish for taking backlit Fall scenery... Though I start out with a fall pic from a cloudy day. Thx. I'm really happy with the tunnel one. I knew I had to take that one as soon as I approached the underpass.
i would have stood(or run a smaller focal length) to get about 5 feet back.... the arc shadow would have been a bit more symmetrical.
Thx. I could have backed up, but I wanted to take the picture quickly, before the group of riders behind me caught up (seen in second pic) while I was blocking the tunnel. Also, I think the asymmetry was baked in by the angle of the sun... I still like the overall roundness of that pic though. I have to say, in all the times I've been on that (rather short) trail, this is the most crowded I've ever seen it. Ditto for The Gardens. Two wedding parties and lots of picnickers there that day. It's usually just me, or only one or two others enjoying the horticulture on display.
Curses! They snuck a pic of me and posted it on the interwebs! At least I was wearing my cool glasses that day!
Wild shrooms!!! In 15 minutes I was able to harvest more than 100 bucks worth. And they are huge! I love free food from the forest. Oyster mushrooms:
This big buck made it through the hunting season (ended friday). He's still down off the ridge chasing does. Maybe I'll take a crack at him next year:
Those pants are so tight, you can see the outline of the underpants. How do they get those things on, anyhow?
