Wife and I are watching the great British baking show. She's into baking and while I'm not, they mange to cast it so that you end up caring about everyone.

Also watching Andor. It's probably my favorite star wars content outside the original trilogy at this point. The writing and pacing is incredible. They do a phenomenal job of 'showing' instead of 'telling.' Praying the suits at Disney don't get it into their heads to fuck it up like they did with the sequels.

    What about everyone else?

After 8 days in the hospital all I did was binge watch shows on Discovery, History, and Animal Planet. I'm kinda burnt out on those shows now.

I've actually been re-watching Battlestar Galactica. Peacock has it. I knew it was one of the best ever sci-shows, but holy shite.
I tried to re-watch it a few years back, but had trouble getting into it knowing who the Cylons were. Enough time has past that even though I remember who, enough other particulars have been forgotten. E.g., I just watched the feature-length s4 finale, and had very little memory of it.

I'm big into the Jim Al-Khalili science docs on Amazon Prime. Also on Amazon, The Peripheral is pretty good.

Wifey and I plan to watch the final season of Killing Eve sometime soon.

And for something clever and goofy and funny, there's Reboot on Hulu.

A friend set me up on his Youtube Prime account, which is awesome. I think if I were forced to choose one streamer, this would be it.

Lastly on "primes" I splurged $80 for NFL Prime+, which allows you to watch all the games on devices (no casting unfortunately), but right after the games you can re-play them on a regular TV, an hour or two later they have a condensed version which cuts all the huddles and commercials and only shows replays of key plays, thus whittling a game down to 45 mins. Then a day later they have the coaches' or "All-22" version that shows all the players, so you can see coverages and routes. One of my pet peeves is that network TV only shows the QB dropping back, which is stupid in this pass-crazy era. Mahomes-Kelce 4TW!!

That was a great show. I still use the word "daggit" for dog.

In keeping with a $650/mo reduction in budget, I can only justify free TV. The cost reduction from Direct TV to Roku is huge. I save over 200 buck a month right there.
I was lucky enough to be able to swap out my 1.5mbs DSL to Starlink (@150mbs+) and now I can stream to my hearts content. I just got to watch and manage subscriptions. I'm pretty much relegated to watching freebies but there are so many.

I watched it in 2010 for a second time, I'd really like to share it and Farscape with my wife. Stargate SG-1 just drags too much...

Interesting thing, if you watch the BSG pilot episode there are 3-4 people who walk up to Adama and say what an honor it was to serve with him before the attack. Each of these people have a critical role in S4E14 "Blood on the Scales".
