Happy "Turkey's too expensive, so let's have Chicken" day! Let us all be thankful that the price of gasoline is expensive enough to dissuade our annoying relatives from descending upon us like the plague.
But just in case, get that booster shot... :bunny:

Being alone by myself, I settled for just making pancakes, since I had a packet of mix, tubs of fast-food butter/margarine, and an old plug-in skillet from the 1960s. I forgot I didn't have any syrup for them after I was done, so I just put a little water in some dark brown sugar, and added a bit of cinnamon, and made my own syrup. The temp dial on that old skillet is a bit off, so the first pancake was a bit dark and flat, but the next ones came out perfect!

Today I am going to raid the Walmart for spring-mix lettuce, among other things, and am wondering about using pancakes as sandwich bread....

This Thanksgiving has given us the blessing of a new version of covid to be scared of, I see. Governments everywhere are in a scamble to close the barn doors two weeks after the virus/horses have escaped, as is usual. At this point, covid is just like the flu; it will always be with us, and the virus folks will have to come up with a regular "likely strains" vaccine for everyone to take every year.

I was supposed to go to a big family event Saturday the 27th. I'm vaccinated and most if not all of the adults in the family are, too.
I got chest-cold symptoms Friday the 18th, which hadn't resolved by the the 24th. I tested and was positive. I never had a fever nor did I lose taste and smell, though I had zero appetite. I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I've only really started feeling good again a couple days ago.

We had a few (12) people over. Everyone was vacinated....all 3 shots.
I'll survive Covid, only to fall from emphysema. I can barely catch my breath. I doubt I'll see another birthday or holiday season.

part time. The wife has been on 2 ltr 02 for a couple years so we already have oxy bottles and 2 concentrators. I hit those up when there's no other option.

    Thanx Smersh.
It's a bad one indeed. It's like 1/2 of your lungs are gone and with chronic bronchitis it's like trying to catch your breath while someone has their hands around your throat cutting off your air flow.
After my recent visit to the ER all they were concerned with was the fact that there was a red check mark on the sliding glass door to the compartment I was in.
They didn't want to treat for anything other than Covid19. I have an appointment with my PC doctor on Tuesday to start the extremely long process of exploring options for my breathing issues,
During this pandemic it's been impossible to get any health care the didn't deal with covid or vaccines.
Commissar Smersh says thanks for this.

Please continue with those good choices. My situation is from 64 years of piss poor choices.
