Tabula Rasa free until end of Feb
posted by Dustin at 2:21 pm on Jan 7, 2009
If you guys have or haven't tried Tabula Rasa, it's a sci-fi weirdo MMORPG that I had played about a year ago. At the time I thought it was pretty cool but very tedious so I dropped it.

Well I found out that it's free to play until the end of Feb and so I picked it up again. First thing I noticed was how clunky the game runs and how AWFUL the graphics are. Standards have either skyrocketed in the last year or some thing's changed because I don't remember it ever looking so bad. I think it's still as tedious as ever but they seemed to have made it easier to level

Anyway, give it a try. I'm thinking of starting from scratch over the next couple months for the hell of it
Weird thing with my wireless configuration program
posted by Phant0m51 at 12:51 pm on Jan 7, 2009
It's showing me as downloading 20 to 25 KBps constantly, even after a reboot and after I've shut off every program I have installed. Windows update is turned off, and it's still doing it. Is the software bugged, or is something up with my computer?
How can I run OSX on an XP laptop?
posted by Steve Juneau at 12:26 pm on Jan 7, 2009
Is it even possible? I've heard of some of you guys dual booting it (if that's possible, I wouldn't mind trying it out on my Vista PC), and I've had a look-see at OSX86 but I didn't really get what was going on!

So does anyone fancy holding my hand on this one? Never know, it might even result in me selling all my Windows stuff and buying a Macbook!
Is it not possible to do a remote desktop connection from XP to VISTA?

So I am at work here, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I can't seem to connect to from my work computer to my home computer. I am using XP Pro at work and Windows Vista Business at home. I have followed these steps How to Enable Remote Desktop Connection with Vista | Gil's Method and even unblocked my port 3389 in my wireless router. Does anyone else know what I could be doing wrong? I even added myself to the list of people in the Select Users...

Office Depot Copy Paper Case for $33
posted by T3D Deals at 1:20 am on Jan 7, 2009
It's 104 Brightness which impressed me the most considering some of the more expensive brands used to be under 100. It's $32.99 but order 2 and get them both shipped for free. This is a CASE folks, not a few reams or some box. You get 10 reams of 500 sheets of paper which would last me a good 5 years before I even have to start looking at paper again. Good for copiers, printers, laser or inkjets and anything else you would need paper for. Offer expires 1/10/09. OFFICE DEPOT COPY PAPER CASE DEAL
