Conclusion

Crucial memory has for some considerable time been a top quality brand but the firm producing it (Micron) has never truly offered a selected line of higher performance RAM for PC enthusiasts. Today's picture is very different and not only have Crucial came out to deliver on this front they have also done so by bringing to market a very good if not to say excellent product. The Ballistix PC3200 DDR series is memory that even exceeds its rated timings offering top notch 2-2-2-5 latencies making it a prime performer, but what can also be said is that it maintained to hold this level of prowess right up to a speed of 219MHz! As the benchmark data clearly tells us the Ballistix PC3200 faired extremely well showing exceptional tolerance in holding tight timings at very fast bus speeds, 2.5-2-2-5 at 500MHz DDR is no easy job but Crucial ran these tests with considerable ease. With an average price of $260 for 1GB (2x512MB) it offers outstanding performance while being cheaper from other similar products. If one adds to this already pleasing list Crucial's renowned compatibility and lifetime warranty there is no sensible option but to mark this product as highly recommended! Well done Crucial!

Pros:
- Excellent performance
- Excellent timings
- Excellent overclockability for PC3200 memory
- Lifetime warranty
- Crucial's 100% compatibility
- Cheaper than the competition

Cons:
- None
