Nope, I've quit smoking weed before for extended periods of time. I don't smoke regularly only when it won't negatively effect my life in any way or form. Even when I can smoke weed sometimes I choose not to just because I'm not in the mood. Answering a question like that is like responding to the statement, "you're in denial". There's no right answer.
I quit pot and all mood altering substances 22 years ago. The THC content is exponentially more potent in today's shit, as I understand. IDK, we had some major ass kicking bud when I quit. Buds so sticky, they'd adhere to the wall if you threw them. As for DUII, I was alot more prone to want to drive after an illegal amount of alcohol than after getting stoned on weed. Not that I didn't, but my desire to drive was taken away by a greater desire to kick back and zone out to some good music or space out in the woods or trip out in cartoonland somewhere. With alcohol, I tended to gravitate to the car keys and consciously take way too many chances.....last DUII was 2.8bac . Pot will become legal, that is inevitable. Once the rest of the cash strapped states see what it does for the bottom line in California, Oregon and Washington, others will follow. I've been tampering with the thought of going "medical". I more than qualify in the state of Oregon for a card. Chronic pain due to spinal deterioration and other bone damage caused by my checkered past. Then I think: "do I really want to feed that monkey?" I mean, do i like having a (sorta) clear head and no risk of compulsive use of a mind altering substance? Granted, I didn't tend to go out and make a shit ton of bad decisions with weed like I did with the only legal drug (alkyhole), but I did become really useless as far as getting anything constructive done while smoked out. In short, you guys do whatever floats yer boat. I'll stay clean and sober over here and watch. IMHO: pot is better than alcohol for relaxation, for pain relief, for mood altering, it is easier on the prison system, cheaper than pharmaceuticals that it has beneficial characteristics similar to and it has revenue potential that may rival alcohol. I honestly believe that it would be better for society for alcohol to be lillegal and pot legal.
^ I'm not sure if that is really credible. Nobody has died from smoking too much weed, and nobody has died from MDMA alone(it's the high body temperature/dehydration/other shit in the pill that kills you)
To OD on weed, you would have to consume 1500 POUNDS of marijuana at 75% THC content in under 20 minutes, The best street shit is going to be ~30% THC...
Most weed related deaths I've read about seemed to involve a combination of things, usually alcohol. Almost all people seem to agree that weed does not kill people, if nothing else.
If you read the asterisk, it says, "Cannabis fatality figures highly questionnable." ...And If you read the article: Plus, there's another graph. C'mon, guys, read the fucking thing! You can see that "deaths from pot" are sensationalized as hell.
fact: no one has ever OD'ed on weed by it self, ever... fact: there has been cases of people drinking them self to death before by just drink too much beer/alcohol, it is called alcohol poisoning.. no one in the history of mankind has ever died from THC poisoning, you would pass out way before reaching deadly levels of THC in your system... and if passed out you would never be able to die from second hand smoke THC
Do you guys think I'm saying weed kills people, are you missing the point, or is there something else?
*Puffs* Dude, did you hear that?! What was that noise?! aranoid: Yeah, no. In real life I got paranoid as fuck everytime I smoked. Might've been the people I was hanging out with.
