http://androidcommunity.com/sprint-htc-supersonic-arriving-next-week-20100317/ << to those on sprint that want a good android phone. Also an interesting writeup on cost of ownership. http://gizmodo.com/comment/20584152
pop those numbers into the afore mentioned equation Don't get me wrong Chain, I'm cool with those gadgets. For myself, I can't justify the expense. Now if i were in need of keeping a clientel database, need on-the-fly research capabilities, and up-to-the- minute pricing, i'd be able to justify it. Someday I probably will as soon as people start spending cash to have their homes worked on again. The costs cited by Chapel are not prudent for this old geek at this time. If a person can afford an expensive toy like that, great for them. I'd just as soon have 1001 other things to play with, like a baja bug, a lake boat or ATV that could be had for aprox the same as 2 years of 3G hardware and service.
I have a Samsung Moment, I like having SSH,FTP,VNC and MS Office on my person at any time. If my server fucks up while I am not at a PC, I can SSH in and do pretty much anything needed to it. It is running a custom ROM and has been rooted but I am not running a persistent root.
iphone 3GS at the moment. On my second case (transparent-green soft-gel iSkin brand). It's better than my last one but the standby button at the top is pure crap.
bring on the supersonic! wimax baby, android, 4.3" cocktastic screen, dual flash, 5mp camera! i can finally get rid of this htc diamond...
Ooh, ok, i never really used google like that b4. I dont think this is quoting.. so thanks chapel. I'll try and fix my contacts 2morro, thats pretty much the reason i wanted 2 sync. So i think i asked this b4 but i didnt c responses. What are the downsides for the hero? If there is a real reason, i still have time to get a better phone. Lol I asled around and no1 told me n e thing bad, i really wanna know since i'll be stuck with this for a year or 2
Honestly just stick with a phone that you like. The Hero is fine but I think the most common complaint is again that the processor is kind of last generation compared to the smart phones that got released when the Hero came out. But other than that its probably fine and will get Android 2.1 soon enough. Also looks like the Hero 2 is right around the corner: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Legend
Lol damn phones come out too fast.. ooh! I think i can get that next one, its within 30 days! Schweet, i'll definitely go n check it out 2 c the differences. Thanks
Just goto http://gmail.com and login then click on contacts. You can organize them there. Make groups, or whatever. Any change you make there will be reflected on your phone almost immediately, same with if you make the changes on your phone they will show up on the website.
So, has anyone thought of the surveylance capabilities built into cloud computing?? http://www.infoworld.com/d/security-central/gartner-seven-cloud-computing-security-risks-853
yep but if you use the internet your info is out there already. i suppose you could have the argument that you want to keep your info online to a minimum but quite frankly, if someone wants my info, they can get it...it's unfortunate but it's true.
I think I'm going to wait till that comes out before I buy anything, see if its better than the Hero I tried at the Sprint store the other day.
right now, im imagining life with my supersonic in one hand, iphone in the other. life will be grand. i will use the combined powers to ravage every woman on this earth, suckle their life force energy and culminate it into a deadly jizz ball, when unleashed, will impregnate every man and woman. pray to your jesus i dont get my hands on it.
http://www.informationweek.com/news/software/open_source/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=223900277 So Sprint says the Nexus One will soon be available to their network. -How soon is soon, will there be another HTC available by the time the Nexus is available? -There's almost a $400 price difference between the Tmobile contract rate and the no-contract unlocked rate, I'm wondering what kind of discount Sprint will offer. -Will this be the same Nexus One that's offered now, or will changes to the hardware/software be made when it comes to Sprint. These are the questions I have, but I suppose only time will tell.
weird I just logged onto that site whiskas spoke about and it started loading, stopped and I got a microsoft presentation starting and then went back to loading the sight. wierd. wtf
I came to post that, well the Engadget version. http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/23/htc-evo-4g-is-sprints-android-powered-knight-in-superphone-armo/ Torx, this is the phone of your dreams. It is basically the HD2 but Wimax capable. It isn't too bad, other than sense (not a fan) it is just a small step above the nexus, like very small step. If Sprints 4g ever comes to my area, I might entertain a phone like this. What would be sweet is if Google made the Nexus One 4g capable for Sprint. That would be smart as well.
Homeland Security is gonna love this shit. all the info in one location just begging for a spyder-bot to scan it. http://homelandsecuritynewswire.com/CloudComputing.html already setting the groundwork for scanning. http://homelandsecuritynewswire.com/trend-us-domestic-spying-offers-opportunities-niche-players ahem http://technologyimpacts.com/2009/1...et-microsoft-track-your-every-move-webmonkey/ ahem, ahem checkmate: http://www.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/3028431/obama-set-to-create-domestic-spying-agency.thtml
For those that have android and have been using google voice. http://googlevoiceblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/faster-google-voice-experience-on.html Has native sync now. Yay!
I wonder how much it'll cost me to get the Evo - I've had the Pre since release day (June 6) - anyone have any ideas of the costs after a year?
