"Tendered to USPS"? Did they literally ship my RAM from New Jersey to Kentucky and then stick it in the mail? :-k
Yeah, Fedex recently did that with a package of ours. Fedex delivered it to Denver and then the USPS brought it the rest of the way.
Cheaper, sure. But it has to take longer. Not to mention I'm probably done getting tracking updates. Fuckers...
"9/5/2008 5:30 PM ET EDISON, NJ, US PICK UP " That's pretty funny, mine goes right from that to out for delivery.. I live like 15 mins from the Newegg warehouse.. I should really go work there hah. I actually just got my crazy deal I posted from Newegg like 10 minutes ago.. <3 them and their super fast shipping. Sucks to hear though.. I used to really like DHL actually
I have a buddy that works for DHL. From what I gather they are hurting. To the point they are closing the distribution center in Columbus Ohio.
Ouchhh.. Man even like 2-3 years ago they were doing pretty good. But yeah I haven't seen a yellow DHL truck in a LONG time.
Well, things can't be good when you're having the fucking US postal service finish your routes for you!
The company I work for used to use DHL..we switched to strictly FedEx or UPS. Better rates I presume...
it took 2 days to get a stack of dvd-r from newegg in memphis TO my doorstep IN memphis. stupid idiots. i need to find out if i can shop at newegg here or if its strictly a warehouse only.
Warehouse only It sucks and I've thought about it myself. I'd love to just go down to Edison and shop right from their warehouse. Have you seen their warehouse pics on Anandtech? It's like the Fort Knox of computer hardware.. Like I said I'd freaking love to work there. EDIT: AnandTech: Inside Newegg NJ: A New Warehouse and Another Contest
Thus is answered the question from those DHL ads that ran on TV a while back. We DON'T need another delivery service...
YES, i saw that and was impressed at how their warehousing works. imma see if i can get a job there pretty much right down the street
back when i used to work for officemax, we shipped DHL (then Airborne Express). They used to be cheap. I'm sure when DHL took over, prices went higher though.
it might have already been covered but everybody ships with everybody, my brother worked at the UPS lenexa KS distro center and they moved fedex, UPS, USPS, and DHL packages on their trucks and vice versa.
Kentucky is a real state? I just looked it up and I can't believe I missed that shit in all these years. I thought it was a joke. Anyway, that's BS.
That's worse than the folks who tell Puerto Ricans to go back to their own Country, unknowing of the fact that Puerto Rico IS a part of the USA... You do know about those other states like New Mexico or Hawaii, right?
Wait, we needed a New Mexico? What happened to the old one!? Anyway, I guess it's better they hand it off to USPS instead of letting it sit around for a week until they get a delivery window. FedEx is hurting pretty bad as well, they're just big enough to be willing to take the loss and pretend it's business as usual.
you do know that puerto rico isn't a state, right? It's a US p[rotectorate, but no part of the united states of america. its a bit like the canary islands and the UK. they were voting to become a state a few years back, but the vote didnt pass (and why should it, why become a state and have to pay taxes, when you get all the good of america without the cost?)
