I know a lot of people here share what they do for a living, and yet others (looking at you noobs) i have no clue. No need to share company names or pay or anything but it would be nice to have an idea of what every one does for a living... ya i know what 950 does i am currently working at a recording studio in milwaukee as a head engineer, the client base is small so there isn't a ton of money coming through... so i also work at a culver's for extra pay
it is mostly hip hop and R&B, easy, set up a mic and record vocals to a beat... i would rather record drums, bass, guitar, (rock music) because it is more into the music i listen to regularly and because it would be more challenging (more money???) hell i would rather record choirs, set me up some decca tree miking patterns!!! at this particular studio we use pro tools 8 with a digi 002 and have a few different mics, on the weekends we are trying to improve the iso booths(since there is a lack of isolation) and build a live room(to be able to record more then vocals or small guitar/bass amps) we also mix there too, very small employee base as well: me, a studio manager and 2 other engineers(who may or may not be being replaced by me)
I cook and clean the house. I'm a really crafty person and love to make things. Currently I crochet, draw, and write. Recently learning to knit. I'm about to open up an Etsy shop to start selling my crafts. Pictures later once I finish this bunny I've been working on.
IT work, have had a variety of titles (network administrator, system engineer, customer engineer, etc) but have basically been doing the exact same work for 10 years.
IT work. I work for an IT service company still (damn non-competes) but regularly visit companies to do all their work and some residential too.
Full time student at Central Connecticut State University and part-time as a self-scan operator at Stop and Shop.
Very cool. The difference then is that you would preform (or have the ability to perform) more complicated procedures?
LOLZ sorry dude, feel free to share still... there may still be some newer members who haven't seen all of the pictures of you and your chainsaws/axe in action!!! and i was thinking of you when i was splitting/stacking wood this last weekend (as creepy as it sounds, it is true)
Manage Tweak3D. Just kidding. But for most of the past 11 years that was my job. With online advertising saturation and all that, it wasn't a sustainable business and eventually stopped paying the bills. Now it's more of a hobby / part time gig but I still enjoy it. My current job: I spend a lot of time at my desk, on sales, doing web stuff etc but there's also some time playing with these crazy cars, which IMO are the best in the world. Sometimes it's pictures or video, sometimes it's installations or errands. I drove this thing 700 miles to a track event for a pro driver, then sat in a couple laps w/ ALMS pro driver to setup timing module and changed tires etc. (I'm in the passenger seat here!)
My title is Project Development Engineer. I propose new projects and steward the operations of existing projects for a mid cap energy company. Lots of economics and putting together teams of the right people to develop natural gas fields. Since the economy has been slow and gas prices have been low I have also been developing some software for the company to streamline the process.
