OK here we go... try to keep up (best experienced with heavy bass systems) One band on my playlist for over 20 years... Where did electronic music come from? Here's one of the major seeds.
In the 90's I said to myself: "self......you'll never criticize music like your dad did". really? WTF happened? It's just time, I guess What it is....is all there is:
Janis Joplin could belt it out, too. That's one of the best singers doing one of the best songs. In the Napster days I dl'ed a Louie Armstrong- Billie Holiday version of it but IMHO the Janis Joplin version is the best.
It's funny how my definition of "loud" has changed over the years. Today, the cops are not involved like they used to be. Now, my music is more like: or
lmao the green jelly popped in my head yesterday, those were my grunge 90s days i listen to retrowave/ deep house music now
http://www.myinstants.com/ Push button, then listen. Not sure where this fit, really. (These are a little loud on my system)
I wish I were in . . . Tiajuana . . . Happened to hear this one yesterday. Thought perhaps I posted it years ago but if so I can't find it.
http://dangerousminds.net/comments/...mbingly_formulaic_and_shitty_country_pop_musi Hate country music and couldn't listen through this entire video but the first 10 seconds pretty much said it all for me. It's pretty funny that country music has run out of chords.
Fixed.. It's the same in many musical gebre's sill gurl! (same chord progression but different keys is most music)
I'll be seeing them again in KC the end of May. The new album, Currents, is out in July. One of those slow boiling songs I like so well, like Saw You First by Givers. There's a lot going on here.
