So I was in Hollywood watching the Darjeeling Limited (very good), and I heard that there was a midnight release for Puscifer's (Maynard James Keenan) 'V is for Vagina'. So I walk a couple blocks over to the Virgin Megastore and see a about 200 people lined up. So I get in line, and I'm thinking to myself that it's unlikely that this many people would be here for the Puscifer cd. I look towards the front of the line and there's all these camera men, and they're recording the first people that walk out of the store. It turns out that it was for the Britney Spears midnight album release, and then when I looked at the rest of the line, I realized that everyone was either a girl, or rather gay looking. So I toughed it out, waited till I got in the store, had to ask for the Puscifer CD which was kinda hidden behind the counter, and was on my merry way.
hahahha, lmao! you better hope those cameras didn't get a snippet of ya, or your friends will be harassing you forever.. so what kind of music is this again?
Lol, I was towards the back of the line, so the cameras were gone by the time I got into the store. But I think if they would've been around I would have been screaming "Britney!" at the top of my lungs just so I could get on camera, would've been priceless. I honestly couldn't tell you what kind of music this is, it's very strange. www.puscifer.com <-- you can basically sample the whole cd.
Oh man I had no idea maynard was putting out a new album. I havn't listened to it yet (i'm about to) but I'd guess it was some sort of noise album like Mike Patton's Fantomas.
Its pretty much industrial the standard industrial affair. It's not bad. I've had it on since i woke up without changing tracks, so you know. PS. Indigo Children is really good.
Yeah, the original versions of Rev 22:20 and the Undertaker are definitely industrial, but some of the songs have some interesting influences. I dunno, I'm terrible when it comes to Genre classifications. Wtf though, itunes labels it as "Alternative & Punk"
Yeah, i like it a lot though. More then i expected to, seeing as im not a tool nor APC fan. And there is a lot of original stuff in there. Some odd timing signatures and stuff that work out really well. I'll probably listen through it again here at work, actually.
