I don't own a gun. California has made it very annoying and hard to own a gun or use one you manage to have. If I lived in the desert or a less populated area I would definitely get one or two just to play with. I do believe that guns are fun and useful and should not be seen as an evil.
Not surprised at all. I have 5 rifles in my house. All for hunting and target practice. Having such a high percentage of people owning firearms, it must be VERY intimidating for any country or world leader who might want to try and invade us.
I wish i had the right to bear arms... However the canadian government 'allows' us to bear them, for now...

I was just confused with your sentence when you contradicted yourself. I know the gun laws in Canada. You can own a gun for self defence purposes, you just have to have a license.

I no longer own any. An episode of homicidal tendencies convinced me to temporarily, voluntarily suspend my right to bear arms. If I were to get a piece, though, it's probably be counted as one of the 'not registered" varieties.
Man, when I read things like this it reminds me how much I fucking love America. I've always kind of wondered what would happen if anyone ever tried to invade us, Red Dawn style. 1 .22, 1 .308. Both of those are "family guns" (given to me by my grandfathers). I own a pistol and a over/under shotgun. The pistol is my self defence gun, loaded with 10 rounds of hydrashock .45acp 8) 96% one shot kill iirc!

Yeah, the show: Jerico, will probably be pretty a accurate portrayal. I would hope that the movie Red Dawn would an inspiration, but the "pussy' claim will probably be more what we see...sheesh! conformists.
