seriously, i have the slightest clue about whats going, i dont know the politics, the whys and the hows? Whos doing what, are we to blame? Why are these innocent people being killed, and will we intervene? seems like this ground attack going on is constant can someone enlighten me or give me a brief synopsis about this situation along with some ideal remedies?
Hamas fires a few rockets, Isreal goes in "to fight it out to the bitter end". I think isreal want to fuckem up pretty bad. Sounds like Hamas thought they had enough rockets to fuck Isreal's shit up and Isreal says "enough's enough. Fuck me?....No! Fuck you!" With enough heat......sand turns to glass.....green glass.
The short answer to your question Torx. 1) After WW2 the Jews used Holocaust guilt to take land from the Palestinians. 2) The Palestinian refugees trying to enter neighboring Arab countries were denied entry by their Arab "brothers". 3) After 60+ years holed up in refugee camps they're pretty pissed about it, and were launching rockets into Israel to stir up trouble. 4) The Jews got fed up and gave them their wish - trouble. It was an injustice for the Jews to get their land, but it's been over 60 years at this point. The Jews have the might to hold the land, the Palestinians need to have their own state and stop attacking the Jews already. I mean, seriously. We took a bunch of land away from Mexico a long time ago. What do you think would be the reaction if they were firing rockets across the border at Texas? We would unleash holy fucking hell on them, and rightfully so.
every fucking day these scum ass palestinians fire rockets into israel. NOTHING on the news. they elect a terrorist government and the world turn the other cheek. Israel finally has had enough and is fucking them up and punishing them for pissing off the giant. (Dont think for one second israel is not a giant, they are one of the premire military powers in the world today) I can sympathize that the palestinians were ousted from their land 60 years ago but... Its not like israel is genociding their shit, and its been 60 fucking years. Most of the people that were there are dead now. Hell most of the jews that 'took' the land are gone as well. EDIT: pretty sure this will end up like lebanon, israel will completely fuck up their infrastructure and then back off when the world crys injustice loud enough
this is the none PC version of it but pretty much. Right or wrong, Isreal now belongs to the jews, and they have the arsenal to keep it. deputing that fact isn't the most intelligent of decisions. North America is predominantly white, and thats only because our European ancestors raped, pillaged and stole it colonized it, we were not originally from this continent. dispite that unwholesome fact, here we are.
This is interesting: The Other Side of the Story! - Palestinian Mothers Certainly not an unbiased source, and there is no doubt in my mind Hamas is bad, but it gives something to think about when you look at the proportion of carnage.
Fixed. Anyway, that's what war looks like. Hamas like a lot of insurgent groups hide amongst the population and take pot shots at the Jews. So yeah, when the Jews finally fire back the population is going to be killed in large numbers. The commander of Hamas was killed by a rocket attack while hiding in a refuge camp. They shuttle weapons around in ambulances and Red Crescent vehicles, etc. And then they cry murder when innocents are killed, and fools over here and around the world join in. My only regret is that we're mixed up with Israel. Is there a strategic value there that's worth the enormous cost? I don't see it.
As mentioned, they are one of the most predominant military's in the world. Plus it gives you guys a place to point and say "where not there yet!"
Yeah, but who funds and arms their military? The United States! Honestly, I forget the totals off hand, but the state of Israel could not exist as it does without enormous aid from the US.
So 2.5-3.0 billion a year? Nowadays that isn't all that much really. How does Israel make their GNP, manufacturing of some kind? I know there's a decent amount of tourism dollars for sure. EDIT:
Well considering more Jews live in the U.S. than in Israel itself can you really be that surprised by our amount of support?
I don't think we'd tolerate a Mexican version of Hamas firing rockets at civilian targets in Texas on a daily basis.
i have a question, why does the U.S. care so much? its obvious that there has been bad blood between these countries and now they are starting to fight it out. i cant go to any news source (CNN, MSNBC, fixed noise) without being bombarded by articles and videos about how bad it is in gaza. i honestly couldnt give a flying fuck but that is probably because i am an un educated wise fool on the matter. so would someone please explain to me why we are putting so much gravity on this situation?
Because Isreal is one of USA's offspring (spawn). I do have to admire the ass kickin' prowess of that little nation.
You have it other way around man. You will be very surprise how much influence Israel have in pentagon. As i said before its amazing how a group that barely makes 5% of world's population can control one of the strongest nation on the planet like a puppet. Israeli politics is not some thing that make much sense if you look at it straight. They plan 10+ years ahead and work on it. Controlling from ground up takes time but once they get that set, they control every thing. Not to mention Israeli intelligence lol. Mossad is just one amazing agency(family business i should say). I dont think there is hardly any thing they dont know, when it comes to gathering intelligence. There so much history written in blood for those two side its very difficult to even say who is right here or wrong anymore. Even if there is a victor in that conflict its still a loose loose situation.
Jubal nailed it - there are a ton of Jews living in the United States. Plus Israel has a ton of Christian holy sites, which stay accessible thanks to our cozy relationship with them. Rich Jews + rich Christians = fuck the Muslims. But having checked out the CIA info on the country (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/print/is.html) I'm starting to think our relationship with them might be profitable somehow. I still don't think we should blindly support them though.
Being that I highly doubt there is any moral imperative or loyalty of any sort driving any of our government decision-makers be they Jewish or otherwise, I would be inclined to wager that profitability is a major motivating factor whether we see it or not. It wouldn't shock me if the Saudis were in the mix somewhere in there.
This headline currently on CNN pretty much summarizes to me the situation. After all that has transpired, Hamas is defiantly saying they have no intention to stop shooting at Israel. They have no regard for their countrymen apparently. The only way to negotiate with people like that is with maximum force, as the Jews are doing now.
Hamas sounds as though they are involved in a rally of the rest of the mid east against isreal. It's a political sacrifice of thier own citizens to gain sympathetic support from islamics.
