The dumb thing about the whole UFO conspiracy is that these are supposed to be super advanced beings who have to have technology to fold space and have crazy energy producing abilities. Yet our own incompetent government which fails miserably at most things, and which cannot even prevent its own employees and awful journalists from leaking and reporting classified information that ruins certain surveillance programs, etc, somehow managed and continues to manage to prevent everyone from discovering the existence of beings millions of years more advanced than us. I think that's pretty much the entire foundation for UFO conspiracy, that the US government apparently has more power and more intelligence than super advanced beings. Which of course they'd just write off by saying the aliens made a deal, ala X-Files.

Im with ATI'zed on this one.. i have several theories on the whole ufo/alien hoopla. 1) we are soo insignificant, less civilized, uneducated, low intelligence, and an underdeveloped species to where aliens would have no use in us, no point in being curious about us.. Why would an advanced civilization waste their time on us if they are far superior in intelligence and technology?? 2) like atized has said, its a power utensil to make our usa government and western civilization appear to be far more superior than other countries, ala having only been the ones to make secret contact. 3) who said aliens look like little green men and fly round discs?? Real extraterrestrial "lifeforms" from galaxies away are of something our incompetent minds could never think of... Aliens could be a fucking gas ball that we look at with our very own telescopes, who are molding space and time as they please.. basically what im saying.. whatevers out there WE HAVENT THOUGHT OF IT YET. And this is why im soo sick and tired of teh same old white trash alien descripted bullshit.. 4) aliens have visted us and are providing the knowledge for us to advance faster as a species and are directing to our higher officials "the right way of life", aka, nwo, aka evolution of human to fucking robots.. 5) we are the fucking aliens.. hence the panspermia theory of common bacteria propagating to other planets.. the bacteria will either flourish or die quickly, that bacteria is the culmination of us and will be us. 6) we are the fucking aliens part 2... we are from the future, visiting, behind closed doors making the decisions to lead more civilized lives.. unfortunately for our generations we are making the sacrifice for our future brethren to live more comfortably..
To ATIzed.......one thing: MIB I agree about the incompetence level you noted. I've always maintained the notion that the federal government is where incompetent people go to get a career. I do however like to entertain the notion that we are not alone in this infinate realm. And that all people, incompetent or competent, are so limited in our ability to comprehend, that the dummies at the federal level use thier incompetence as a smokescrene...."hiding in plain sight". It doesn't take much inteligence to know that being dumb, can hide alot. There's alot of things I don't take as fact, like UFO conspiracies, but I believe in the posibility of a conspiracy, as I believe in the posibility of another race, besides ourselves and other civilizations. It's posible. One thing I do know for a fact: The feds hold secrets. Comprehend infinity.
i'd say if we discovered life on another planet, we'd be very interested to make contact no matter how advanced or primitive they are. chances are, any species intelligent enough to do it, would do it. edit: who reading this article would need the definiteion of meteor? come on, msnbc...

So Torx, you don't think the aliens would care about any advancements in technology we have? Just because they're superior beings in intelligence and technology, doesn't mean that we don't have something that they might want.
Just like the moon conspiracy..... how many people would it have taken to make a movie production that good back in 60s or even late 70s (assuming the government had far better secret filming techniques). Theres no way you could keep all of NASA quiet about not going to the moon. I have to say, this lady should stop wasting NASA's time, they have two new rockets to build. Even if this was some sort of conspiracy, wouldn't the government have been smart enough to destroy those documents?
i'm not saying that they're chilling like MIB. just that i wouldn't find it unbelievable for a superior race to visit our planet. though, in my mind, i imagine they would want to study us, similar to how we study the plants and animals on our own planet. not that they'd learn anything amazing, jsut that they would want to know.
