New post from the second half of Ethiopia,Monolithic stone churches? Yep. Castles? Got those too. Beautiful mountains? Check. A rant or two? Always, haha. http://scottsnextadventure.blogspot.com/2013/06/ethiopia-part-ii-lalibela-gondar-semien.html
I ate a cow brains sandwich last night. It was bland and mushy which is exactly how I thought brains would taste actually.... leaving Egypt, and Africa, in two days. Wow.
I've been in Germany for two days now and what a time. Partied until like 6am this morning... and another party tonight. Great to be back with Stefan after meeting him and traveling together for two months way back in Botswana/Zambia. Need to get my first post from Egypt up, but here a few from Germany anyways:
Alright, finally got my blog up about Egypt, it was tough for me but some cool stuff. I fly home tomorrow.... http://scottsnextadventure.blogspot.com/2013/07/entering-egypt-means-exiting-africa-end.html
I did that on purpose My friends wedding is end of the month, so I wanted to come home at the beginning of the month so I could be around to help set up. Might as well be back in time for my favorite holiday, made a great way to see most all of my friends right away as well. So here is what I know: shortly, I'll be moving up to a small island (200 residents) bu the border with Canada. There my friends and I are starting an organic farm. I want to build a treehouse to live in, and get the farm off the ground, this will probably be for a year and a half or something. From there my current dream is this: Kayak from the island down the west coast to Mexico, then spend a few months on the Baja Peninsula surfing and learning Spanish, then work my way through Mexico and Central America. Maybe that would be another 1.5 year trip or so, then return home to the farm. Not sure where I'll actually make any money in this, but I can travel with very little at this point, and I can see myself stopping and working a few months here and there as I travel. I will do some side jobs while on the island to make a few bucks, but I'll have to hustle to do it I bet. Last night:
sounds like a great idea. i envy you in a small way and want to give you my encouragement in a large way. dont change and keep on truckin bro. i want to see this thread thrive for years down the road. p.s. you need to start having sex with women during your adventures lol (and give us the details) p.s.s. when you are near southern cali let me know. it would be my honor to buy you dinner and drinks someday.
Sounds like a pretty solid plan. When you first started the globe trotting a few years ago I really couldn't see where it was going, just seemed like you were starting to drift. But I think that the way of life you're living was so drastically different than my own that I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. You're living an extraordinary life, bravo! I just hope you can keep the blog and photos coming.
Be happy to, I'll probably be down there next July, I plan on doing a road trip in my VW Bug with Stefan who I met in Africa! I mean, truth is it's a pretty minimal plan, but it has potential! Without a doubt my lifestyle is out of the norm, but you know, I can't wrap my mind around sitting in an office, so we are not so different after all, just have a different focus Anyways, I FINALLY got my next blog post written (it's taken a long time to get settled, find the time and energy to reflect on this moment) so here it is. I have one more coming after this of the rest of Germany and my home coming, then the Great African Adventure is officially over. http://scottsnextadventure.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-end-in-sight-my-final-days-in.html
