I saw this in IMAX today. Possibly the best movie I have ever seen. Definately the best comic book based movie. I am gonna go see it again next chance I get.
Batman saves Gotham City and the Joker is crazy. Is there really anything to spoil? I mean, I'm excited, but I'm sure it'll be the same generic shit they use in every other film.
I'll have to wait a little bit. Can't see it when I go out of town because my wife wants to watch it. So in the meantime, I watched Gotham Knight. Pretty damn good. Not quite like what the animatrix did for the Matrix trilogy, but definitely cool ideas.
damn i can't wait to see this, im not sure how it could live up to the hype that it is generating but we'll see.
can't wait to see it, but i'll probably wait a week and see it at Imax, I HATE all the lines and having to show up like an hour early to get a decent spot the opening week.
One thing to note. If you can, see it in an IMAX. I see most comic book movies in IMAX because a friend manages it and I get sneak peek as well as free showings sometimes. All the outdoor shots were filmed on IMAX cameras and look amazing. For most of the indoor shots they used regular film and the screen actually displays smaller in the IMAX so it feels kind of like you are indoors. Very cool effect.
I thought all of them sucked. This one has to be good based upon the reviews and reception. Gotta see this shit.
I thought Batman Begins was probably the best of them all.. Quite an epic movie not even taking the franchise into account.
Honestly, I probably missed one of them. This has been going on forever. I think I saw them all but not out of interest.
Yeah, I disregard all the Batman movies minus Batman (1989) and Batman Begins.. Both are awesome. Batman Begins was just such a breath of fresh air after all the stale movies in the 90s.. Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Val Kilmer... Ugh.
Batman and Batman Returns > all other Batman films. Tim Burton knew how to make them right. Every time I catch Batman Begins on TV I realize how bad it actually is. I also realized the best part of comic book movies is the whole discovery of the powers /backstory (which is why I was fooled into liking Begins the first time). As soon as you know the characters everything is just stale. I think that's why the sequels are always so shitty, they try to rely on the fact that the first one hooked you, and basically leave out anything interesting or clever in the stories.
10/10 Seriously. I thought no batman movie could top batman begins but I have been corrected tonight. Get your ass into a theater and see this shit ASAP.
This is the best movie I've seen this year, and quite possibly, the last few years. I'm going to go see it again, and again..
Since you haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, I won't call you an idiot, but I can't wait till you do. Prepare to eat all of your words. This film takes you places you didn't even know existed. I thought Batman/Batman Returns/Batman Begins were great films, but this overshadows all of those films in such a way that almost makes me feel sick. I'm an incredibly big Batman fan, and I feel terrible knowing now that when I watch any Batman film other than the Dark Knight they will come off as drastically missing the depth and substance of TDK. This movie is incredible. Christopher Nolan is quite possibly one of the most talented and extraordinary directors of our time; if not ever. Heath Ledger's performance redifines what acting can and should be, and the pacing, structure, and overall feel of the film's narrative fits so perfectly well. 142 minutes slips through your fingers so quickly you'll wonder where all that time just went. Go see this movie. Let it sink in, then go see it again. -Heath Ledger for Best Actor nomination -Christopher Nolan for Best Director nomination You'll see...
Bought 3 tickets for tonight.. Friend, ex, and I are going. FOUR BUCKS a ticket.. I LOVE my Optimum Online rewards card.. Feck yea.
Best movie ever. Well maybe not of all time, but of the last few years, hell yeah. Best Comicbook movie ever, no joke, nothing can touch it. If you think Jack was a great Joker, feel free to shove that gun of his up your ass because Heath takes the cake and does it with no stupid props. I think thats why I like this movie so much, what truly defines batman as a super hero is his lack of powers, the rawness of him and his villains. This is ever so apparent with the Joker and other major players. I cant wait to go see this again, Im trying to get my friends to go see it so I can see it again. Watch this if you never watch anything again.
