Competition for a mate is just how the game works, throughout time and the entire animal kingdom. Natural selection, we're all looking for the strongest mate so that our DNA will survive and be propagated forward. Guys chose young, attractive women. Women chose attractive, strong alpha males. Every wonder why so many hot young women end up with middle aged men? The silverback of the pack is a highly desirable partner. Not so with the middle aged women, sorry girls!
