I'll go over here and be pissed along with all the other old people at the trashing of the country we worked all our lives to build by those that will not care enough to maintain it. To old people, it just makes more sense to be pissed about that than tearing shit up because we backed a loosing team.

What were you doing when you were my age, again? I don't think you did much of anything to build this country. And I know tons of old people who get pissed about sports all the time.

I worked my ass off even with a huge addiction rather than beg, borrow or steal. With the exception of 3 years out of 40 worked. At 16 I was a journeyman making the equivalent of $36/hr in today's dollars. I have paid taxes and SS since I was thirteen and voted all but one election since 18. Nice of you to ask, what trades were you learning at 10 while going to grade school?

Thankfully my parents didn't force me into child labor at the age of 10. My point in bringing up your activism was that you always complain about injustices in the world but never talk about what you're doing to help the situation.

FYI: I wasn't forced into anything. I wanted to learn how to do what my dad knew how to do.
It took 6 years then I wanted to learn how to build houses which took considerably longer. When I was 24 I owned two pieces of property a wife two kids,
boat, RV, a trail bike and a street bike.
Try to keep in mind what the 70's meant for demonstrations:
*I was a real active card carrying member of the YIP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_International_Party#Origins).
purpose: Force a war mongering government to abandon an insane war habit: been there done that.
*Lobby to decriminalize pot in the state of Oregon as a member of NORML: been there done that.
*on the organization commitee for two oregon state smoke-ins 1977 and 1978. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!
*First name basis with two Oregon governors: been there done that. matter of fact, my wife was
housekeeper in the governors mansion for a year. Make the state birthday cake....twice.
The mid 80's were a blur.
The end of the 80's to present has me at a more moderate pace:
*Speak in schools warning kids of the end results of drugs/alcohol: 5 years
*Council drug addicts for treatment on a volunteer basis: 12 years.

First off, we never called you dumb. Worthless and fat, yes. But not dumb.

And you need to remember that the only reason you entered into your new relationship debt free is because I paid it all off. Had I not had you leeching off of me for 2 years, I would have been leaps and bounds ahead of where I am now. But, we all live and learn.

Also, I didn't necessarily think you were "worth it." I just had to care for you because your pitiful parents refused to. You were lazy, ungreatful, and helpless. I have always been able to care for myself no matter what situation I was placed into.
