I kinda think Obama is my only option without throwing away my vote. Romney is completely out of touch, and the republicans fought everything the Obama administration did at every opportunity. I think a 3rd party would only unite the Dems and Reps to work together on getting nothing done.

Well in this poll I voted Romney (Big Surprise) but wasn't excited to do so. I won't be excited in November either. I just can't in good conscious vote to re-elect Obama. Not arguing, just telling you my vote. I'm really not excited in the least about it. I wish Alan Keyes, Condoleezza Rice, Chris Christie or Jeb Bush would have thrown their hat in the ring. I could get behind those 4 in a heartbeat. Rice will most likely become the next Governor of California though. I wish there was a "Ronald Reagan" candidate out there.

Yes, the left does a good job of pandering to them by promising to forgive the fact they cut in line. Every Hispanic and Latino person I've ever talked to who migrated here legally hates those who did so illegally.

And what is your suggestion to deal with the 12 million people who are here illegally? You may call it cutting in line (and it is no doubt) but I doubt you or anyone in the right can come up with something practical. But I suspect we will hear the right continue to complain about and offer nothing to fix it but empty rhetoric.

To deal with the illegals you simply enforce the laws on the books. Force government agencies, schools, employers, and hospitals to require government photo ID for services, and deport, deport, deport. Had we played hard ball 30 years ago the total numbers would be much lower today. We've had a few sheriffs here in Cincinnati aggressively go after them and it was pretty damn effective.

The money is already there. ICE Agents are suing because they can't do the job they're paid for. Politics keeps getting in the way of laws and funds that are squandered.

There will be start up cost for the ID cards of course, but it could be slip-streamed into the normal BMV process. And enforcement is simple - the burden of proof and providing the card is on the holder. If you want an education, medical care, or any other government related service you would have to provide ID. Simple. I would imagine the savings just providing health care to illegals could pay for the ID card system ten times over.

By word of mouth the number of illegals crossing the border would drop sharply, once they figured out that the free lunches were over.

FYI, Not just to enter but even to be outside the upcoming DNC, a photo ID is required So poor people and illegals need not show up......just the polling stations is where they are welcome.

Yeah, removing or trying to hunt down illegals would be a fool's errand. But by removing free services to them and granting law enforcement the ability to ask for ID? Oh yeah, that shit would work,

The RNC and the DNC are not concert events, they don't let everyone in and they don't sell tickets.

Absolutely that would be a problem, but you don't leave your borders wide open to avoid it. Besides, unless those pickers show up to a hospital, try to obtain a drivers license, or to enroll their kids in school I don't give a shit. The ID system would slow the influx of new illegal immigrants so that we could slowly phase in some reasonable immigration policies.

I don't know but if I'm in the ER and I don't have my ID or
my wife doesn't have hers I'd be pretty pissed if I'm not taken care of.
