It's about damn time. I was reading on reddit how since NY is so large, the percentage of Americans living in a state with same-sex marriage allowed is like 25% now.

This isn't about celebrating the acts homosexuals may do between each other. This is about these people being seen as equals according to the law.

OK as usual I'll be the asshole. Where does the majority draw the line? I mean you pick it folks. Is there one that the majority of people can agree is NOT acceptable. What is it? Don't twist this into your political stance.....just say what you for sure are for/against!

Don't like the act of homosexuality myself. Though I could care less about the marriage laws regarding them.

I'll bite tac. I draw the line at nowhere. because it's simply none of my business. nor is it really anyone else's. What consenting adults do with themselves is none of my concern.

As far as the govt is concerned, I would prefer civil unions, no marriage. Let the churches have all the marriages they want (or don't want) to do, but the government should stick with legally binding civil unions for all.
