I have hair nearly everywhere, it comes with the territory of being so manly And who the hell is that skeezy looking dude, haha. Yep, I’m packing more in now that I’ve reached my weight goal. 5 feet 9.5 inches. I swear I’m the shortest of all my friends. Yep, as I said above, that's essentially what I eat, but I also have some eggs a few times a week as well. I’ve gone from a 31/32 waist to 30. Mah pants don’t fit very well!!! Noeeesss! (And I’m no expert, but I’d guess your body fat around 20% in that picture…) Thanks. And don’t feel bad, just have another beer and a nap, that’s more fun anyways
Yeah that seems about right. I was 17% when I was at 190lbs. You know the funny thing is? Even when I was 190lbs, I still was wearing 32s.. anything smaller didnt fit right. I knew you were a shorty!!!! But anyway great work!
No disrespect my good man.. it's just a 150lbs is just to low for what i see as normal height. But it works for someone of your height. Your kinda like my step brother Steven, he's 5ft 8ish and built like you. But my brother Pete is 6ft 9'in and he's 211lbs and looks skin and bones...he was lumberjack in 1970s around Seattle.
Oh, and I certainly haven't ignored my lower body like some people tend to do, it's just hard to get a decent picture. That was the best I could get. I updated the sounds in the weight room. Some generic 12" speakers I got for $20, still an iPod powered by the same 1.8 watt/channel Optimus receiver An appetizer salad before dinner. Had a protein shake right after my workout. I'd never have just a salad as a substitute for dinner. This just counts as my vegetable with dinner. Lettuce, whole carrot, half tomato, 3 mushrooms, and a very small amount of organic dressing. The other part of dinner is left-over perogies
Great Work, Really man. I wish I could still do this... but there so many bad influence around here. Having a 17 year old around the house doesn't help! she can eat anything and she doesn't gain a pound! You gave me something to think about.... thx.
Be the parent! Decide what foods are allowed in the house and what's not. Even 17 year olds need role models.
Tonight at a party, for the first time in my life, someone described me as a "skinny guy" and it felt weird. I'm still only 151 pounds right now. I'm slowly building more muscle, and have kept up lifting every other day, which feels great. Looking at these pictures from a month ago now, I think I have even more muscle definition, can feel myself getting stronger, and am able to do more reps than before, which is awesome. I have upped my food intake significantly, but have only changed 2 pounds from a month ago. I'm not totally sure if I need to be eating even more to successfully build more muscle, but I really want to stay at my low body fat level, so I'm not interested in the traditional "bulking" plans. I am making gains, but I think if I work a bit harder, and keep tweaking my diet, I can see bigger gains. I don't really have a new goal right now, so maybe I should make one. Same body-fat level, but up to 160 pounds? Maybe 165? 15 pounds of muscle at ~9% body fat would be a pretty major gain, and a pretty impressive result, that might be a lot to ask, even for me. So I guess 160 will be my new goal to shoot for. And my damn cloths don't fit me. Ugh.
nice work fiddy. in other news, ive gained a solid 25 pounds since jan 1st. my waist and back has gotten wider (lat exercises), and my lower legs have gotten thicker. i only exercise my calves, not so much my thighs. Those get a workout at work. im at 20.1 BMI i came back from vacation and everyone said i put on weight and got bigger, of course i was wearing a skimpy little shirt and didnt even workout on vacation lol im still a small guy but im finally looking "healthy" for my height.
Pics? Edit: Damn, you gained 25 pounds and you're still only at a BMI of 20.1? That's majorly skinny still! Jesus, I'd have to be 136 pounds to have a BMI that low.
This week I've started 'dieting'. More like watching what I eat, keep the serving portions in check. After my back stops hurting, I'm going to start on the cardio work to burn calories. I really need to lose this weight.
Ah, guess I just assume most people are as tall or taller than me thedood, don't just think of it as "I'm going on a diet." Think of it as a whole lifestyle change. For me, being active all day, lifting weights, taking a sauna, stretching, eating right, getting enough sleep are just part of a lifestyle for the better. If you look at it in isolation, I think you are less likely to succeed, but when those kinds of changes are simply integrated into your every day life, they don't feel like a burden or a hassle. Once you start seeing positive changes, it feels great and you will stay motivated to keep it up and keep making more and more improvements. At least that's my philosophy.
Shorties ITT. I used to just run 3 or 4 days a week, and recently I've started incorporating resistance training 2-3 days a week. I can definitely see a difference already. Even though I'm about the same weight (maybe 4lbs less), my body looks significantly different.
ive lost to much weight the past 5 months...i need to gain like 15lbs. im being worked like a black red headed step child at work
950 you have inspiried me to go from my current weight of 182 to 160. I am 6'2". Let the manorexia begin!
People worry about BMI and muscle making/getting "healthy" and can end up dying from infections. There's alot more to being healthy than outward appearance and not enough attention is given to boosting immune systems and getting Bp$ collesterol numbers in check. Fiddy seems to eat healthy foods, that's the right stuff. I get a kick out of that MickeyD's ad where the chick works out on a bike ride, then goes to MD's for junk food. happens alot. Myself, I've been "training" my immune system. I don't want to have to rely on anti bacterial everything to survive, when my own body is more than capable of fighting most bacteria. Hell, with proper immune training, I can become immune to rattlesnake bite.
Yah, that's my excuse for not washing my hands I'm building resistance to germs!!! But yes, people spend too much time on working towards outward appearance. I take the holeistic approach, just working to improve my entire body and mind. It takes the form of high levels of activity and exercise, being very conscious and responsible about what I put into my body, and my own versions of meditation, in the form of extended saunas and stretching (and other smaller things). If I end up looking like a sexy beast, so be it
Now that's a full-meal-deal that you're not going to find at the gymn with a trainer! Right on fiddy. There are so many that strive for only the outward appearance, but fail to realize that the inside job is just as, if not more important than the ripped abs.
Abs you say? ... 153 pounds.
