Welcome. i've been around this board since 2001 and have watched many boys turn into fine men here. I be 50, 51 in less than a month. I'm a hit-hard nearly unemployed homebuilder/remodeler and lately a full-time tinker (mad scientist:unibrow) as yourself. My interests have shifted from computers and consumer electronics to alternative energy. Oh..................I like cats. Right on! to your ambitions with the space race. justinL shares your ambition.
honestly i was never good with computers. i actually was hoping to make friends here so i could have some one do my home work lol j/k j/k but something about breaking the laws of physics always exited me. i think its more natural for me to solve a few equation and screw in some bolts then breathing. btw your a very handsome 50 year old i wouldn't give you a day over 25
My name is Ryan, I'm an IT guy for a electric motor manufacturer in Cincinnati Ohio. I'm turning 35 next week, married with two kids. I tend to do a lot of traveling, both business and pleasure, and have a variety of hobbies but nothing spectacular. I'm a certified open water scuba diver, enjoy zombie movies, watching cartoons with my kids, beer, music of all sorts, coffee, healthy eating and exercise... Not much to tell really. If I had to define myself by one thing it would be my relationship with my kids. It brings me the most joy in life, and I feel like I'm pretty good at it. But this is what I originally was going to write:
^^ the above OK, but i really do hope you where kidding about what you where going to write. post up some pics of you and the kids if you don't mind.
haha My name is Josh. I'm 24 years old (25 in February w00t). I'm 6'6" tall and weigh 215 pounds. I recently lost 85 pounds...started in February 2008. I enjoy going to the gym every day and eating healthy. I don't really drink or smoke. I'm kinda a loner as I don't like big groups of people and the club/party scene. i don't have many friends as I have trust issues. I'm an IT guy for a Northwest company that owns newspapers all over Washington and Oregon mostly. I do most stuff remotely but I do travel to different offices on occasion. I also own my own computer business (cough geekpoint.com cough) that I do on the side. I was a dumb ass and married my college g/f when I was 20 years old. We divorced when I was 22 I believe. She was insane and put me in quite a lot of debt that I am paying off slowly. My g/f of almost 3 years and I just broke up. It's for the best and it's gone real smooth. We are still best friends. This is the first time I've really been single and on my own. I'm scared but am looking forward to it. I don't have a ton of time after work and the gym. But I enjoy video games, watching tv, and outdoorsy stuff. Oh and I've been on this board since 1998, when I originally moved to WA from Dallas, TX.
My name is Scott. I am a project manager for a energy company in Calgary Alberta. I spend most of my free time in the mountains. Snowboarding, camping, hiking and climbing.
My name is Shane. Currently my title is SharePoint Administrator, although really I'm more of a Systems Administrator/Architect. I'm 28, married, no kids or plans to have any.
I'm Dan, 28 years old. I live in the Bay Area and work at a Porsche shop during the day. I grew up in the woods and love the outdoors, and go for walks/hikes as often as I can, which balances my tech/car interests. I started this site when I was 17 in high school. After graduating I took computer science courses at university but quit right before I graduated (5 years in!). I've worked a few IT jobs but am always on the edge of completely changing my life direction/residence/etc., so I never know where I'll be next year.
Welcome to the forums... My name is Will Courtier, and I am enlisted in the US Navy. I am a nuclear field mechanic on board submarines, have been doing it for 4.5 years. I am currently a second class petty officer, up for advancement again in March. I specialize in emergency welding and precision machining, and also operate many of the mechanical systems on board the submarine. I also maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of air, seawater, refrigeratiion, air conditioning, steam plant, reactor plant, hydraulics, lubricating oil, oil purification, and water purification systems. Keeps me busy! I am also into cars, driving a 2005 Pontiac GTO with a little work done to it. EDIT for pics! ~Will Courtier~

My name is Hung. I'm 23, turning 24 in January. I am Canadian, but am currently living, studying, and working in the US. I graduated with an Honours BA in business law and am currently completing my M.Ed. with a focus in student affairs and higher education administration. When I graduate in May, I will be looking for a job as an administrator or student services provider at a college or university. In my spare time, I'm an avid skier, cyclist, and fencer. My serious hobbies include photography and music. I play three instruments proficiently and am usually able to pick up other ones quickly.
Oh sure, here we go. The whole gang (with my Mom) in Costa Rica... The wife and youngest daughter... And the teenage daughter (right) with her dumb friend Jackie.

(joking no offense intended) I read the thread. If people started to hold hand and started singing "Kumbaya". LOL there might be some issues You from Brooklyn... didnt we had some one get banned from there hmmm...
Hey I could use this to squeeze my presence in to t3d... My name is Jason. I've been lurking here since 2005, and by that, I mean I've read every thread but hardly have much to say. The threads are always hilarious enough anyway. Grew up in Lancaster, California but I just moved down to go to CSU Channel Islands, currently an English major. I'll be graduating next year. I turned 21 in september, and mostly spend my time playing guitar, and writing for the band I'm in. I enjoy bands like Radiohead and The Mars Volta, writer/director-types, and pot. I grew up with DJsoulriot from 7th grade til now, and he's the one that told me about this site. I know all the guys on here from Lancaster/Palmdale, like Jishory or Scooby or PopeJohn, so it's cool to keep up with them in a different way, through forum posts. To tie this into IT, my mom is the Tech Director at a local high school, and I spent the last year and a half (until recently) being her assistant, which included really basic hardware/software maintenance and a little about networks, but mostly training teachers how to send an email or click the start menu.
