From CNN: The House will "postpone consideration of the legislation until there is wider agreement on a solution," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith said in a written statement. Wider agreement on a solution... lol. How about leave the Internet alone? "Censor the Internet! All of that information... we can't have the population informed and smarter than we are, then they'll overthrow us and we'll lose our jobs! We have to find a way to make sure that the public only knows what we want them to!" Maybe I'm turning into a conspiracy theorist, but I'm sorry, I just do not trust our government. Not one bit.
It's not even "copywrited material" that is the issue. This is just the smokescreen. The provisions mentioned in the vid about being able to legally shut down any site for trumped up reasons is what the issue is. Congress has access to the cookies before they're even baked! That's why members of Congress are rolling in the dough for coming up with half-baked ideas! I am proud of that pun. I give it a 4 out of 5 on the groanometer!
"Don't cry. Disney owns the rights to that emotion." That made me laugh so hard that I had to pause the video.
