My daughter has the same problem, I think it has something to do with the number of friends. I prune mine constantly and keep around 100, which is still really too many. But she's got north of 600 at this point. Just out of curiosity, how many do you have? Just to confirm or disprove my theory, for science.
lol I've got 300+ I think I think it's funny when people I've never even had a conversation with, add me. But I always add them too cuz hey facebook's supergay and the more friends the cooler you are right? But yeh, the chat always fucks up for me so I never use it, maybe it is the mass amounts of friends?
I have almost 400 friends but always stay logged out of chat. I have no interest in talking to people from high school.
That's what happened to me... I only joined cuz I've got family in Winnipeg and they all wanted me on there so we could all keep i n touch...but one thing led to another and I have over 300 "acquaintances" on my "friends" list. I just wish I could delete my account or something...but I can't bring myself to do it...
Yeah I have my Facebook set up so I don't see anybody in my news feed I don't care about. And I don't accept friend requests from people I don't know or I went to high school with.
Well I had my Facebook in high school first obviously so I'm friends with my high school friends, swim team members, family, work friends, and now college friends. I no longer accept friend requests from people that I went to high school with because if we weren't friends in high school I'm not going to be your Facebook friend while I'm in college.
Yeah, same here. I ignore the shit out of those Mafia Wars, Farm Town, E-Drink, Digital Hug motherfuckers. And if I'm annoyed enough I pull the ejection handle on them. Another pet peeve of mine are the people who friend every acquaintance of every acquaintance, to get their number up. I guess it makes them feel like they have a huge e-penis, but to me it's pretty pitiful.
i think I have almost 300, not sure. But I know for sure that I know every person that I added. I didn't want a repeat of myspace... lol too many random people on there. I play those games on there, lol. I like leveling up. Mafia Wars, Cafe World, Pet Society, and Farmville are probably what wastes most of my time. But I try to send the gifts n junk only to friends who actually play the games, not everyone.
I like facebook much more than myspace. At least on facebook I'm way less likely to run into any "babygirl"s or "~<3yagurlkaykay<3~"s. Plus I get to stay in touch with my childhood friends back in Pennsylvania. I dunno, it's really just for fun for me.
I have 176 friends on there. I know them all personally. I used to play all those Facebook games for like a month, but like everything else, I got bored with them. I occasionally take a quiz, but I can go days without logging in. Especially since I have it on my phone, so if it's something important, it'll go straight to my phone.
I used to play Texas Hold Em and Family Guy Trivia everytime I was on there...that's all I'd do on there. Now I log on like twice a week, whenever family has sent me messages. I hate crackbook and I wish I never signed up....I'd feel like a jerk if I just deleted my account, I'd never have a way of keeping in touch with my family....
