i joined up right after i bought my first computer after high school in summer 2000. The tweak guides brought me to the site, BUT i have the slightest clue as to why i clicked the "forums" link.. I wonder how much different my life would be if i had never bothered... hmmm..
This thread makes me think back to my first memories of tweak... being warned by senseman for my sig being about 5 pixels too wide. haha. I remember nearly everyone had an image signature when I joined, most people don't seem to bother anymore (like myself.)
Yup, sig/avatar sizes used to be regulated pretty tight back in the day. Remember some of the chicks? Lacy, Lady in Red....etc. those were some great gals. We still have some great gals....tough ones too, to put up with this sausage fest.
Everyone put their system specs in their sig image, it was the cool thing to do then. 950 had some classic paint ones.

I'm still here from the 2001-2002 era. But I'm probably not remembered because of me being mostly a lurker. I still feel like I grew up with you guys though. I went all through high school while visiting this site. Mistawiskas might as well be considered my long lost, older, wise uncle. There are much larger forums on the internet that I visit, but I have yet to find another close group of people like on this site.

anyone remember phantom? I think he spelled it phant0m or something like that, he was the first to break 10K posts. Anyone also remember pcguy? we caught him upping his post count in an area of the forum that wasn't used at all lol. There was also another guy who said that he screwed these two asains on the bus, what a fucking idiot, we caught him making that all up. That was probably the funniest moment on t3d ever, the asains..
What about the guy that ripped a bunch of people off and then disappeared. I think he used an upside-down ? as his moniker. I think it was the same guy that posted a picture of his daddy bag.
