after gurren lagaan 25 i was crying man-tears all over the place. don't scroll down if you haven't seen 25/don't want to cry.
i'm not sure how far the anime has gotten, but let's take a look at the arrancar story arc. sure, i'll admit it has some cool points, i like hte vaizards a lot, and the espada are pretty cool (don't know if you know them yet). but they add a bunch of extra shit that wasn't in the manga, which pisses me off. those stupid 3 characters that run around and can be in stuffed animals like kon? i saw them in bleach that was supposedly non-filler and stopped watching. i guess i'm too picky about stuff like that, but that's just me. Spoiler so the arrancar capture orihime and take her back to their base. sound fermiliar yet? the same group of friends + neji go to rescue her, against all odds. there they face arrancar who have different ranks according to their fighting proficiency and power, and have to fight their way up through the ranks....wow, so original. i like bleach because is has some cool action sequences and interesting looking characters, but not enough to waste 30 hours slogging through anime that's riddled with filler a-la shippuuden.
You got that right! Don't you hate it when you get attached to anime characters? This is one you could get attached to.
Watched Claymore 16 last night, the story is really starting to take off now. Im starting to really enjoy this series, the first 10 were pretty blah, but these last few are great.
After viewing this episode, I just can not believe there will be no second season. This episode set up the perfect vehicle by which to break away from the manga version with an entirely new series. If there is a second season, I give this a thumbs up. If there is no second season after this, I'm gonna visit Japan to kick a few Madhouse butts!
The last ep was ok. One of the reasons I like anime is because the good ones show how human the good and bad guys really are (if that makes any sense). This can be a blessing and a curse. Goofus, I'll go to Japan with you! Kenichi that good huh? Gonna have to put that on the list.
Well I like it. I think the target audience is a little younger though On my side, I d/led the beginning of Gurren Lagann, I'll have to check that.
The last episode of Darker than Black ended with a preview for Shakugan No Shanna season two. So it looks like I'll have something to watch in the future. In the meantime, I've stumbled across a few manga scanlation sites in addition to OneManga. Manga Hut for online manga reading like OneManga, and - Stop Tazmo with the largest selection of manga downloads in one stop I've yet to find.
I was wondering what Eclipse was going to start, to replace Claymore and Hayate. (edit: okay, Hayate is grandly sailing on to a second season...) They've got Shakugan No Shanna the movie. 600 MiB for mkv, and a whopping 900+ for the avi format. Oh for more room on my HDD...
I really liked it, kept to it's over the top theme through the whole series. IMO it was about what the human spirit could accomplish if it doesn't get distracted by petty disagreements.
