Seriously? The Broncos? This site should be blue, green and grey. (epiphany) Hell, even silver and black is better than unicorn fantasy colors.
Psh, that's just Wyoming: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/...ap_to_figure_out_how_many_flyover_states.html
Last summer there was a similar map created for MLB that was based on the frequency of Facebook references to each team. Looks as if the Mets and the Jets aren't liked anywhere. Shocking! The Cowboys were never America's team. That was just one of Jerry J's wet dreams.
Spam-in-a-can. Bill Maher has said recently we should do away with our Senate model of every state getting equal representation because Wyoming shouldn't get as much voting clout as NY or Cal. But that's why we have the House. There was a reason the founding fathers set it up the way they did. And frankly, most of the people I've met from NY were total assholes. Somehow, most of the people I've met from the left coast have been fairly nice. But I sure don't want a bunch of rats-in-a-cage to have too much political power. [/mild sarcasm]
I'm on mobile so I'll have to look for it later, but there's a map showing that Cheyenne is the only state capital that doesn't have its own sphere of influence. As Denver goes, so does Wyoming, Western Kansas & Nebraska and parts of Montana and New Mexico.
I saw something on a recent episode of How the States Got Their Shapes that had to do with the locations of state capitals being centrally located because of political compromise. A thesis was that because of both the central location and the political compromise, these towns rarely have any influence or identity themselves. Jefferson City, MO, is a great example of this. Columbia is only 25 miles to the north and it's a thriving progressive college town. Jefferson City is just, well, meh. Denver is an exception. BTW, speaking of Wyoming, some of the friendliest people I ever met anywhere was when I spent a week in Laramie.
No nigga. Look at your map. Montana... empty. western South Dakota... empty. Most of Utah... empty. western Nebraska and Kansas... really fucking empty. Congratulations. The 4 people that live in that massive area like the Broncos. "Hey ma, we're only 945 miles from Denver!"
There's more people in Montana and each of the Dakotas than Denver proper and Utah has as many people as the Metro area. Don't hate because we like our land.
Denver proper is like 600 some thousand, pretty close to Milwaukee. That's a mid sized city at best, but in a city that size everybody knows someone you know or is a friend of a friend. Not impressive. Don't try and save face, it's okay. Now change this shit back, the color scheme sucks.
PST, click on "Broncos" at the bottom left of the screen. It's only the default for newbs who never set their theme.
Yes, it only takes setting a theme. I log in and get my theme every time. Bronc theme only shows when I'm not logged in.
