how in the world do you read reddit? my buddies are telling me check it out and i did but it looks like a jumbled piece of poop. is there a way to make it look like a forum format? ...sorry for my noobness!
Elitists prefer to look at poop since the dawn of time. So far I haven't found a solution either... and I didn't return.

Oh, I never noticed that. I'm not worried about it as I use a couple tracker blockers such as Ghostery.
It's legal for anyone to watch and track you if you invite them to. That's why I said I'd need to study the EULA. It'll state that you give your permission somewhere hidden in all that legalese.
This may not be the solution you're looking for, but if you want to view only the top level comments you can add ?depth=1 to the end of the thread url. Then any comments you see that interest you, you can simply hit the load more comments link below the comment.
