... Do you believe that is AIR you're breathing? I'm more in the Agnostic camp. I don't even believe in Nothing. I only believe that I don't know what to believe! ;)

I get yah Goofus, sometimes it can get frustrating being told you don't believe in anything when you do. Everyone believes in something don't they? Even when we say "I don't know" we still believe.

BINGO! The saddest people to me are the intelligent people who truly believe in the horseshit. The vast majority were brainwashed as children. Why do you think churches all do youth recruitment? Those vacation bible schools and macaroni Jesus' are essential for keeping another generation of sheep tithing and sitting in the pews.

I am so stereotypical. He sounds like a well thought-out educated guy, but when I hear that accent, I just think redneck dumbass...which I am sure he is not. It's just my stereotype. Sorry, I am working on it.

I believe in something and I believe it deeply. It is so far removed from the mainstream brainwashing/moneygrubbing/power mongering religious view that I am probably considered a
blasphemer by organized religion. Why? because my views would threaten the hold they have on their power and the glue that cements it all together for the control they have on their followers.

Believers are a LOT more dangerous. In fact, I challenge someone to post evidence of an atheist physically harming someone who believes in a god or gods. The historical evidence of the contrary is overwhelming. Believers harming non-believers, believers harming believers of different faiths, of the same faith!

That said, I don't agree with what he's saying about trying to destroy anyone's "cult". Believe what you will, but just keep it out of the public forum. Don't try to push your beliefs on others. And for Jah's sake keep that shit out of the government.

I like that idea, but from little I remember from being forced to go to church as a kid they tell you to bring God to others and try to save them and all that.... Their religion tells them to go out and promote, they feel that it is their responsibility...

I fall more into the agnostic myself... with a hint of atheist...I have allot of family back east that won't talk to me because of it... oh well..
