So, my fiance is pregnant. We haven't been trying to have a kid, but haven't been trying to prevent it. We're getting married anyway, and see no reason to end the relationship (have lived together for the last 7 months). Both of us have really had a great relationship. She was supposed to start her period today. She didn't, so just tried a pregnancy test for the hell of it. It was the clear blue type, which show pregnant or not pregnant (all digital, the friggin' expensive ones). Shows pregnant.... We are going to verify it with another test tomorrow, but this test was only bought about a month ago. I have only heard of an incredibly low percentage of false positives. Just getting ready to crack open a beer... Feeling pretty damned good. ~Will Courtier~
wow!!! thats big step forward, congrats bro. dont let the whole idea of birth out of wedlock put undue stress on you both.. pregnancy happens and dont let dogma scare you two into thinking otherwise. be happy, be ecstatic, supportive, and be appreciative. congrats dude.
I am completely supportive, and not afraid at all (right now...). I know that there will be stress, but I am happy as hell. We will work everything out. We are getting married anyway, so we might get the paperwork done earlier to grant my fiance the military medical benefits for the pregnancy. We had talked about it before, that I would be willing to do it if we fell into this situation. You'd better believe I would never abort or put a kid up for adoption. I want to raise my child to the best I can. I want to provide him/her with everything that I had as a kid and more. I am truly excited. ~Will Courtier~
Who's the father? *dodges punch!* Congratulations! I wish you the joy of learning to get up in the middle of the night to the sound of air-raid sirens... oh wait, that's just the baby crying...
Well, there it is.... That is the second pregnancy test to verify the first one. Here we go! ~Will Courtier~
Just as long as the milk man isn't jumping up and down for joy, you're good to go! Again...congrats man!
That's what I said... Casia (my fiance) asked me to read it myself and verify she was not mistaken in thinking she was pregnant... As soon as I seen the test I laughed out loud.... Also, she has begun acting/feeling different. For the last few nights (even before she took the test) her skin temp has been hot as hell at night. Her skin is warm to the touch, and she has complained of feeling cold. Yet, she isn't running a fever. Just flush. She has nuzzled up against me several times and I keep waking up sweating. She has also been complaining of weird fits of nausea (although hasn't thrown up any) and has been peeing every 10 minutes for the last few days... ~Will Courtier~
Yep...wait until weird cravings. Our first child I had to keep the freezer stocked with fish and chips. It was crazy!!
^^^^ Haha Congrats man. With all the little tweakers running around these days, you parents should be introducing your kids to the site so that it's future is guaranteed once we all die off. My child's first words will be "IDB"
Congrats Will! Super crazy how our lives are always moving on, you were just a kid yourself when you joined up well I guess I was too. Enough rambling from an old man... Keep us posted and good luck!
So, we took another major step. Casia (my fiance) had no health insurance. She is only a part time employee of Fedex. We were planning on getting married anyway (was scheduled for October 15th), so we went ahead and tied the knot. Did a Justice of the Peace ceremony at the court house with Casia's parents and siblings. This way I can guarantee that she gets the medical care she needs, and it will help us in a major way financially (gets me more money for housing, and also much lower taxes taken from my paycheck). We are still going to do the wedding ceremony in October with family and friends, but this just made sense to make our lives much easier. Been an insane day... An absolute whirlwind of research and discussions between us to make sure we are doing what we need to. I am still amazed at how everything is working out. It's as if everything is just falling into place! ~Will Courtier~
Hahahah, yeah. We were all dressed nice (slacks/dress shirts, and dresses). It was quick and easy. Ironically enough, I saw CroweBaby at the hospital parking garage where I do my physical therapy at. She was driving the car that I fixed for her to get back on the road (tires, paid back taxes and registration, insurance, tune up, and quite a few other repairs that were let go for a long time). I guess the car is still going. I will say that we have no worries of her returning to "prove to us she can lose weight." She has apparently made no effort to lose the weight (looked easily as big as she was, if not bigger). Who woulda thought? ~Will Courtier~
