Well...North America has this super unique problem compared to the rest of the world: obesity. Anyone ever seen the movie Alive? LOL
Well, we are #1 by a fair margin, but we ain't the only fatasses: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/hea_obe-health-obesity
It's 34% as of 2008, according to the questionable authority of Livehealthmedia. That's a little over 1/3 of the US population that is obese (which is the medically unhealthy version of being overweight.) with Mexico coming in second at 30% and New Zealand at 27%. Everyone else is at 25% or lower. That's 1 out of 3 for the US, vs 1 out of 4 for most of the rest of the world, which is a fairly respectable difference. Australia looks like it's doing it's best to overtake us, though.
when you get ridiculed and made fun of because youre thin and fit, THEN you know theres a problem with america. this place disgusts me. and like nameless said, some people should not procreate. forced abortions or have their fallopian tubes/ovaries taken out
There is no conspiracy!! But...................................Just look at those numbers. 305 billion dollar increase in investment.
Commodities futures is gambling, pure and simple. Many speculators pour money into these markets, but few make lasting profits from them. At most, big corporations use such markets to hedge their bets, such as getting jet-fuel contracts just in case the price goes up later, which act really helped out Southwest Airlines back when jet fuel prices spiked, and just about killed the other airlines. Even now, commodities prices for things like oil and gold are beginning to slip. The rise of economic markets in India, Brazil, and ESPECIALLY China, are the cause for the spike in investment. It's supply and demand. The commodities are just about the same as before, but the number of folks who have money and desire to buy them have increased.

My bad, first result on google Oh, I forgot, USA! USA! USA! NUMBER ONE! NUMBER ONE! edit: I was thinking just the other day, I don't see that many overweight tourists, other than the older people. I guess fat people don't travel as much.
Fuck UHMERIKUH and your bassetball and your fuuseball. Nah but seriously, i have been made fun of for not being as fat as them. Thats really sad, y'know? I guess obese people envy me and want me to die from heart problems like them.
Obesity....It really is a bad health problem and will more than take the place of smoking as the number one offender. grains/carbs may taper off as an affordable fat inducing vehicle: http://www.reuters.com/article/2011...?feedType=RSS&feedName=environmentNews&rpc=76
