    ^^THANK YOU MSP.

Most of these people here have never grown up in that situation, and wouldnt understand.. what i bring to this table, these forums, is not what i ate this morning, not what the latest meme is on youtube, but some REAL shit that some of you should be enlightened with.

And i see this right now, you cant even debate or have a conversation about real shit here without people getting hussy fussy and pissy poutty.

how many times do i have to explain this, it was a public conversation, and if my ears can hear it, its my business. Have you ever had a private conversation before? Do you know the definition of privacy? You pull someone to the side outside of the public crowd THEN you talk.

REALLY? a german eatery? Seriously dude? Seriously. come the fuck on.

    Fighting the good fight?
Its better than keeping my mouth shut. Too many people wanna keep from educating others on REAL EQUALITY.

False. You want to know where I got the inclination to rebel? You must not have grown up as poor as I did. I have been the victim of discriminations all my life. Not from blacks, but from people of my own race. Educational opportunities were non exsistent and teaches even shunned the poor kids. The well dressed kids got picked for the "special lil' things"by the teacher. A kid from a well-off family comes to school with a shiner and the teachers are involving CSD, calling the parents in, and performing inquiries. A poor kid comes to school all beat to shit and the teachers just figured they had it coming to them. Being hassled by police was an everyday occurance from the age of 8 on through my 20's when living in poor neighborhoods. Opportunity was not available unless one happened to slip down the ladder your way, and if you missed it, nothing would gravitate your way for a long time. Job oportunities had nothing to do with work ethics. They had to do with occasional lucky breaks.
This was not in today's society. It was back in the 60's and 70's. From what I've witnessed, that hasn't gotten one iota better.

i understand that you're talking about another problem in this country, but it's not the same. imagine a black person of the same financial standing as you growing up. they would have to face all the shit you went through + the added discrimination for being black. i seriously recommend 'white like me,' the examples of this are very numerous.

Actually, this isn't too accurate of a test. 99% chance that nothing will happen. White people in the hood makes the neighborhood folks usually think either a) they're a cop, b) they're buying drugs, or c) they're a social worker/teacher/whatever. White people generally aren't associated with gangs, and most hood crime is gang related so whitey gets a pass on that. Not to mention, a black on white crime would make the news like crazy, and bring unwanted heat to the neighborhood, which is bad for business.

Living there and being white, however, is a completely different story.

    This shit is hilarious.

We enslaved over 11,000,000 black people for more than 400 years. I don't think white people can complain about racism too much for quite a long time. Growing up in a black neighborhood should only give you a better understand of what black people go through. Not to give you a sense of entitlement to complain about feeling some discrimination.

I won't chime in on all the other 9 thousand ideas but this is true. I just had to spend a few hours in a shitty neighborhood (over the rhine) in Cincy. I'm not kidding about this: within 60 seconds of me parking to find the business where I was heading to there had to be at least five apartments/homes/whateverthefuckthesehoodshave open their front door and all look at me.

    What do you mean: WE?
Does this mean we can hold native tribes from africa responsible for the genocide between tribes that was part of their past? I mean we're now using the past as a justification.....why not?

Who's "we"? I haven't enslaved any black people. Them discriminating against me because I'm white, and because other white people enslaved their people, isn't that racial profiling? And besides, the amount of human trafficking is at an all time high right now. We're not buying their people anymore, but guess who's still selling them? Their fellow Africans. Logically they should hold a bigger grudge against their ancestors and own people.

EDIT: ^^^ I see Wiskas beat me too it.

Just a little clarification; Slaves were used by both free white men and free black men. I say free white men because some slaves were white. Secondly, slavery in the US took place from around 1560 (by the spanish) till the passage of the 13th amendment in 1865, that's only 300 years IF you include the earliest forms of slavery.

And lastly, white people weren't the ones that started slavery but they were the ones that ended it;)

Now the whole blacks aren't equal to whites thing, yeah the white man started that:eek:

I don't know about you guys but throughout American history there have been movements for equality by various groups, women, gays, Chinese, and, blacks, and the only groups that seemed to have overcome their inequality are those that did not point to their past to move forward but rather they worked harder to prove a point and their equality. The black community as a whole does not seem to share that same mentality, in fact they look down upon it and consider people who do work hard a sell out or an uncle tom.

And before you think I'm crazy or a complete racist, these thoughts are similar to the point Bill Cosby has made and has been ridiculed for.

Again the guy torx was talking to was being ignorant, he should have been talking up how good that restaurant was because of how good the food was not because of how black it is. A successful business doesn't cater to the lowest denominator but to the broadest audience possible.

The guys intentions are simply misplaced in my opinion as are yours torx. You shouldn't be asking why he gets to act a certain way and you don't, you should be asking why he acts a certain way and try to understand where he is coming from.
