| Curmudgeon | Yeah that resolution left me scratching my head. How can it be 16:9 and yet 1024x768... In anycase @ 42" or less it's argued that the difference is negligible. Anyone have any first hand experience of this? | |

| Original Gangsta | I'll tell you in a sec, lemme change my resolution. AHHH! It makes a HIGE difference (at least on a PC) between 1024x768 and 1920x1080 | |

| Original Gangsta | yeah, I'm using a 42" 1080p Toshiba as my monitor and all the way across my room, everything is still huge and ugly compared to 1920x1080 | |

| outside the box! | I'm loving my Aquos 42" 1080P. The best sat TV does is 720p/1080i, but then there'll be a PS3 in the near future for the blue ray at 1080p. if you're not going to do BR or HDDVD, then 720p is all you'll ever need. but that native rez has me a bit concerned. That mean that it'll be stretching your picture to 16:9, therefore distorting it. Most stations that still broadcast in 4:3 get thier picture stretched and, to me, it's a noticable difference without sidebars. personally, I'd stick to 1366X768 for 720p. | |
