It's all Intel review hardware, but was never used.

I think the CPU is either a 3.46 GHz dual core or a 3.8 GHz dual core.
The motherboard is an Intel D975XBX SLI PCI-E (I think it uses DDR2 dual channel).

The motherboard was never installed. It also includes the OEM cooling. You just need to add RAM.

I'll give it away for free (including shipping) to the person who needs it the most. T3D Regulars Only! not sure if I have the worst specs on this board but I've had this computer roughly since 2002ish (only upgraded the video card and the RAM to 2GB)

I can't afford to upgrade because of my ex-wife screwing me over and putting me in $20,000 in debt...how 'bout that for a sob story

oh ya and I've been with tweak3d since 1998. i'd consider myself a regular lol.

So, I'm pretty positive I've got the worst computer here. But I'm very happy with how I've built it and how it performs. There are plenty of more upstanding tweak residents that it should go to before me, I'm just posting to show off my old ass computer. :0


AMD Athlon XP-M 1400 (Thats the mobile chip) Base speed is like 1.6ghz, got it overclocked to 2.1ghz
DFI NFII Ultra Infinity motherboard (uses Nforce2 chipset) does a great job with the overclocks
Two sticks of Mushkin 512mb DDR400, can't remember which style I picked up all those years ago
The granddaddy of them all is my Geforce 4 TI4200. I used to overclock it but I think the software I was using stopped working with XP so its stock right now.

If we still had the old forums I could link back to the threads I saw that help me build this thing. I believe it was davey that was talking about the xp mobile chips and how much cheaper and how easy they overclock. So I built a system just for that way back in I believe it was '03.

Like I said, I'm not really looking for the system just wanted to show how low the rabbit hole goes. I would probably just upgrade it again anyway for starcraft 2. And I don't really want to dink around with buying a videocard and ram for it (also mentioning I would need a new monitor aswell--crt for life!)

Thanks Dan for just giving that stuff away to a good home. Its very generous and I'm sure whomever you give it to will put it to some good use.

I may have some RAM laying around, but it won't be good stuff. It'd be like 512-1GB at most and may or may not even work right with this setup since the bus speed's so high. I'll send it out if I can get it before I ship this.
