XP Pro Upgrade

I wanna install xp Pro Upgrade on a new Harddrive.
My Question is, can I just do this with the XP upgrade CD, or do i need to install Win 98 SE first? I don't have the Win 98 SE anymore.

You can install XP Pro Upgrade without a prexisting o/s on the drive. But you just need to stick in an older version of Windows when it asks you during the install. Win 98, 2000, and ME should work to do this.

I use an old, old '95 cd. It works.
