Can anyone reccomend a free DVD burning program that burns Dual Layer disks and works in XP?

I don't want to install NERO right now on my main box.

all of them are shit.
they either have proprietary formats, can only burn certain formats, or are buggy as FUCK.

i end up going back to nero and magiciso for all my burning needs.

Here's a list with descriptions

There's also this, which wasn't on the above list...

All the windows offerings are "works in progress". Booting up to Linux offers some better alternatives, mostly right out of the box, if your DVD+/-R/W is supported.

Pretty much. I rarely come across GREAT free software.

Nero is good, just do a custom install and only put Nero Express.

Well, I may have to use Nero b/c all of the other software I tried didn't recognize the DL DVD that I'm using. My drive can burn on DL DVD's, so I'm assuming it is the software.

Thanks for the links.

You need to set the layer breaks for the double layer. Mine's set at 1913760 for burning 360 games.

how do you determine what to set the layer breaks to? I assume you can manipulate such settings under the tools menu from the burning dialog box.

It should set the layer breaks automatically. What are you trying to burn?
You can try this tut Creating a double layer ISO on your hard drive using ImgBurn - ImgBurn Support Forum

well, I was trying to burn a normal DVD image, but what I'm going to be making the most use of the DL discs with is burning just large collections of old video files.
