Windows Media Center like software for Linux?

I really like the windows media center software. is there a good alternative for linux? i don't really care about watching and recording tv, I just want a good interface like WMC to play my videos dvds, music, and maybe photos. I know there are a few projects out there that do this. any of them any good?

XBMC Media Center works pretty well. I use the windows version.

MythTV supposedly is epic. Though, I've never used it.

thanks, that XBMC looks awesome. I like that it works on all platforms. I've heard MythTV is good too but it seems to be more of a DVR type of software.

MythTV is amazing, i've been using it for a couple years. But you are right, it is more geared toward DVR functions, although it can do everything else as well.
