Why doess cable suck

At home I have dsl. Well I'm going to college now, and I have cable. Supposedly it's 3 Mbit. Well the most I got wsa 1mbit. Now I did a test and I got 200 k. it sucks.

Cable is like DSL, it can be shitty and it can be good, My dsl was 1.5 rock solid, my cable is over 8mbits down a coworker cannot get over 4mbits, its the line in his case that is screwing the cable.

When I had that problem, I called and they found the router was misconfigured for me. They fixed it and I was good to go.

Yeah the cable company is being gay. They were supposed to get us our cable TV yesterday and now they aren't gonna do it till monday. They are makin me made. But I should be get 3mbit for $40 when is starts working, so we'll see.
