Every time I enter a folder with big files like this it does this green bar shit that just slows everything down... seemingly nothing changes when it finishes. How do I stop it?

I've never fooled with it, but that kinda irritates me about Vista too. And if you have a bunch of video formats in a directory a lot of times it will say that the COM service has stopped responding (sic). I so rarely see it that I've never bothered to look in to it.

I notice that too. Don't know why it does it. Never researched into why it does it either.

Does it only do it with videos?

I remember in XP windows would try to load all the codecs that I had when I opened a my movies folder. It took forever.

It's probably the same shit but now it has a loading bar.
