Does the 6800 need a power cable plugged into it? Did you do that?

Problem is, you're missing a processor. Might want to check that out.

He means does the power connector it is using connecting to anything else in the computer(hard disks, cd-rom)?
If it is, then disconnect anything else and use other rails(the wires) for other devices and leave one seperate for the video card.

It's means do some research before you just start plugging crap in and fry everything in your PC.

Rails are well regulated transformers in your powersupply. Their fuction is to take Wall outlet voltages (120VAC) and convert them to a current that your pc components can use. (+12VDC, -12VDC, +5VDC, +3.3VDC...etc)

Newer powersupplies have two sepearate 12 Volt lines because newer equipment like video cards draw a lot of current from it. If your powersupply has only one +12V rating on it then it most likely only has only a single rail.

According to newegg it only has a single rail.
Are you using the 64bit drivers with a 32bit copy of windows?
