i was thinking of upgrading my power supply since i only got a 300w supply, and am about to upgrade to a x800gt video card. I wasn't sure if there was anything i needed to look out for before i just open mycomputer up and install the new supply. Any body out there have any advice???

Its pretty strait forward, there is 4 screws that hold it to the case, and all the plugs only go in one way so you cant mess it up.

you may not be able to get a new PSU becuase some prebuilt pcs don't allow it. When i first got my new PSU i had it taped to the top of my case.

I make myself laugh.

Is the computer standard ATX? If not what brand?

Swapping PSU's is very easy. Shouldn't take more than an hour for a beginner.
