My screen has been getting artifacts again so I tried uninstalling and re-installing my ATI X850 drivers. I still see some artifacts which I can deal with for a while but now I'm getting choppy scrolling on web pages. Scrolling is fine when I open up folders from my computer, but it's the web pages that are choppy. What did the drivers change that I have to change back?

Shut your mouth and think it out.

I knew it was an ati card before I even opened the thread.

How did you go about uninstalling the drivers?

OT:

When I had an nvidia card I updated my drivers all the time but with my ati card it's just more hassle than it's worth. If it wasn't for the all in wonder cards I'd probably never buy ati.

Well, I went to add/remove programs and removed the ATI stuff from there. Then installed the newer ones. Now, i did it again and it works fine. Guess the 2nd time was the charm. Thanx for the reply, though. Guess I will be going with Nvidia next time.

Shut your mouth and think it out.

Driver Cleaner can cause problems of it's own, at least with ATI video drivers. ATI have their own Catalyst uninstaller app, so it's probably better to use that. You can get it from here, under Utilities -> Various -> ATI Maintenance Utilities -> cat-uninstaller.exe.
