Is it better to leave you upload speed on a torrent unlimited and have massive peaks/valleys on that speeds (like 15 KB/s up to 75 KB/s) or to pick a slower speed like 40 KB/S and have an essentially flat line on your upload speed???

Depends on the tracker, some trackers limit your download speed according to your upload speed, but some dont so then you can set your upload speed to 10k/sec and download at 200k/sec

"It is good that war is terrible, otherwise we would become over fond of it." - Robert E. Lee.

"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."

yup, what he said

But if you aren't in a hurry, you can set an upload speed to flat line your speed, as you said. This way, a lil slower dl speed of the fast torrents will free some bandwidth for other ones.

Allright then. I set it to 40KB/S ... I'm just allowing some uploading right now to keep my ratio about 2.5. I have found that for LIGHT surfing that does allright. If I want to do some YouTube or something I gotta go down to 35KB/S.

Anywho, I was just wondering if over the LONG haul (3-4 days) if I'd get more uploaded one way or the other.

Thx
