What torrent program do you use? I'm using bit-torrent, but the max of 3 ongoing downloads is a bit annoying when you're downloading 8gigs at 3kbps. If I got another program, I would be able to do at least a few more torrents, right? Name drop a couple preferred programs for me

Azureus is probably the best in terms of features.

It's normal for torrent downloads to start off slow, as your client has to set up connections to the other people downloading/seeding the file. The torrent client you use doesn't affect the download speeds (unless you limit it yourself). If you just leave the torrent going for a while it will usually speed up, but it will be limited by the number of people you can download from - if there are only a couple, it's not likely to get very fast.
