do third party overclocker for video cards works better than the one that came with? like the ati catalyst overdrive.

also doe's effencient hard drive space matter if overclocking a video card? i currently have 19gig left.. is it safe to overclock the video card with this space left?

There shouldn't be a noticeable difference, assuming both pieces of software come with controls for clock speeds/voltages of GPU and RAM.

As for hard drive space it has nothing to do with the clock rates of the graphics card.

Just be careful and overclock in small increments, and stability test your overclocks.

As for voltages. Don't touch those unless you know what you're doing.

QFT. This needs to be repeated. Don't take it the wrong way. You can fry a chip before you even realize it if you set the voltage too high.
